"This is either the Restaurant or the Terrace at the Hotel Tigaiga in Taoro Park. Stunning views over the town from the Terrace, where snacks and lunches are served daily. The menu is short, but the quality is excellent. We have eaten there on many occasions. Welcoming staff, highly recommended for a classy venue."

"Remember this restaurant when it was a Grill type place with meat on the menu, now calls itself Guachinche Casa Rubio. For those unaware what is a Guachinche here in Tenerife they are places to eat at very good prices and often can be in the Garage part of a house that they have converted with authentic no frills food. That said on to our experience for Sunday lunch. Arrived about 2.30pm and surprised that there were a few tables empty, this should have rang alarm bells because before you had to wait for a table it was so crowded. We ordered fried octopus which came after a long wait, a small octopus on a plate with half a tomate and nothing else. Having had this dish in other Guachinches with a sauce or wrinkly potatoes this was very disappointing and at 9.50 euros shared between two persons it was inadequate. Seconds were worse, a plate each of ribs, boiled potatoes and sweetcorn with a green sauce very typical here in Tenerife known as Costillas con papas y Mojo verde. The ribs were salty (not enough time soaked in water before cooking) very little meat on them. The potatoes were cold and the corn was out of a packet and very sweet. Fresh corn on the cob is not sweet. The wine was ok and we decided to give a dessert a miss. Sadly they will also be missing our custom for the future with so many Guachinches offering authentic Canarian Cooking and with reviews here stating it's worth a Taxi ride and off the tourist track take the Taxi a little further to Santa Ursula next to Puerto de la Cruz for a big selection of Guachinches."

"I am afraid we have to confirm the previously made negative Reviews which we unfortunately didn´t check while being dragged in from the street by a woman as many others described. Once seated, we realized, that we seem to be the only guests for this time of the day (2p.m. . We wanted to order paella, but got warned about the long preparation time +35minutes. As we didn´t wanted to spent too much time on the lunch, we asked for some quicker dishes. The waiter recommended local fish . Ok, we ordered that. Right after order, the waiter went with an empty plastic bag out on the street to the lady, which dragged us in. It took about 10 minutes and the lady came back with the same plastic bag but full. We were sure, in there were the fishes (fresh or not?!? … Another 30 minutes later, we had the fishes on the plate in front of us… not looking good, not tasting good, partially raw… For the rest of the day, we had stomache ache. The end of the story was pretty similar to many previous reviews: no paycard machine available, price too high for the quality, bad memory for us."

"Myself and my family visited the restaurant yesterday and had a fun filled day at Loro Parque, no complaints there. When it came to lunch time that definitely changed. We sat down at the bar grill and had an standard lunch, in the middle of our lunch there was a man dressed in blue shouting and screaming to the off the top of his head to the waiters, waving his hand up and down and banging the furniture around. If that is the supposed manager I do not understand how the number one tourist attraction can allow what seemed to be the manager in charge talk in such a manner to his staff, it is appaling to hear and horrible to see. Baring in mind that I could see the majority of waiters running around as fast as they could, taking orders and dealing with the tables. This problem should definitely be dealt with, I find it horrible to be eating a family meal with shouting and screaming in the background just because the manager on duty has no people 's skills and no recognition on how to speak to customers and the waiters. Aside from that food was okay and the service by the waiter was fantastic."
