"I live very close by and often go on a Friday evening after arriving home from work. The current owners have made an excellent effort in remaining within the style of a typical French Brasserie but have added an excellent menu. This is not a luxury restaurant but it remains comfortable and it is clean whilst retaining authentic decoration and charm.The menu choice is relatively small but they appear to have reasoned on the fact that they want to master what is on offer...Although the menus always appear to be traditional, the presention is not, everything that I have eaten there is always served in a manner, with a sauce, or a delicate hint of herbs or spices quite unexpected, it has always been a pleasure... The chef has a refined taste and understands the finesse of good cuisine.. It's the kind of restaurant where it is easy to take anyone, privately or professionally. I have some excellent restataurants within a 20 minute drive but I keep coming back here... I enjoy the simplicity of the surrounding, the excellent food and the service..Everything remains basic, but with good taste and an excellent chef.."
