"Stopped in for lunch one sunny day. Very pleasant lady who served us was very patient with my bad French. Great setting on the promenade overlooking the beach and bay. We had Mussels with Roqueforte and Cod Espangnole. Both were excellent. Prices considering the view...were very fine and better than the other restaurants right around it. Would definitely return."

"Le seul point positif : nous avons été très bien accueillis dans ce restaurant. Les menus ne sont pas chers, mais la qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous, nous avons apprécié les entrées (la soupe de poissons et les moules à la planche). En revanche, les plats n'étaient pas terribles : l'axoa était trop gras et n'avait pas vraiment le goût de l'axoa, le merlu était sec et la sauce gâchait le plat (l'écrasé de pommes de terre était bon). Concernant les dessert, c'était très moyen : le gâteau basque ressemblait davantage à de la frangipane et le fromage de brebis avait dû prendre un coup de chaud avant le service... Nous ne reviendrons pas, un bon resto de touristes malheureusement !"

"Was introduced to this little gem by a friend, who was camping at the site behind it, situated on the beach in a little cove to the north of St Jean De Luz. There are two elements to the restaurant with bar area, (serving cocktails,...drinks and snacks) overlooking the beach and the restaurant itself at the front of which is a rotisserie roasting cochon de lait when we went! The waiters are incredibly friendly and helpful, one previously working at L'Escargots in London before leaving for USA!! We had oysters as a starter (very good and the dipping sauce was yummy) with cochon, moules and chipirons to follow......the pig was excellent, the moules very good (with home made chips) and the chipirons were good although the latter was hardly a main course helping for a main course price! The Cote du Boeuf for one that was delivered to the table next to us was HUGE and the steak tartare looked brilliant too.....certainly know what I am having when we go there next week and looking forward to it!!!!"

"Yeah. Definitely good. Recommended. €14 moules frites mussels French fries and rose wine half liter €14 Best meal so far for mussels meal. Good flavor and good fast service. Try it I. Loved it."

"Ive had 2 birthday meals here, and I hope to have more. Genuinely exceptional cooking of top quality ingredients. Simple presentation and cooking but with top quality technique. Loved the fois gras and the duck, as did my (then) 2 .5 year old son who ate a whole leg of confit, much to the good humour of the lovely staff. We love this place and hope to return either this summer or next."
