"Came to Toscano during the ride to the Museo de Trajes Regionales. Delicious coffee, hot chocolate and desserts. We did not try meals, but returned three times a week for the wonderful atmosphere and nice warm drinks. The women's room is one of the most beautiful...modern spots in Chiapas. We met the architect who explained the wood decoration on one of the walls. Multi-level, charming; Sofas, chairs and soft, warm lighting in the loft. Don't miss this when you visit San Cristobal."

"La Abuelita is a family run restaurant that serves good if not great breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. It is quite a large space and tables go back to a garden area. The juke box can be a bit deafening when it's on, but otherwise the decibel level is OK. Soups and snacks are quite good. What I found to be remarkable and quite welcome was the excellent maintainence of the women's bathroom:clean, small baby changing table, (cushioned! )toilet seat, soap and paper towels! As another reviewer recommended, keep walking when the Real de Guadalupe pedestrian only andador ends. The businesses (art galleries, etc) and the Guadalupe Church at the end ogf the street are really worth a visit."

"Brasa is a beautiful place near the main square. They have variety of options that they present really well. The beet salad was excellent. Prices are affordable. They have a couple artisan beers from GDL. The jamaica sour was not bad. Service was spectacular very attentive and kind. This is a great option on San Cristobal."

"Three weeks ago I would have given an excellent rating for this place because I enjoyed their steaks, salate and inexpensive house wine. recently I went there with friends and recommended them. we were happy with our Churrasco sandwiches and. the wine. When the review came, the fee for each glass wine was fifty pesos and not thirty as listed. in the did one of my friends had corrected the 30-Peso price before the order. the waiter remained bad. a few days later I went back and asked for the manager. a small, semi-bearder man seemed ready to hear me, but when he saw that I gave a complaint, said con permiso and went away. there was no language problem because my friends are Chilean and my Spanish fluent."
