"This is a very disappointing restaurant. There are now three Tom’s Kitchen restaurants, one in Chelsea (the original restaurant which opened in 2006), one in Somerset House, and now one in Canary Wharf, which opened a few weeks ago, and which I visited as it is located close to my work. Tom’s Kitchen is a modern British brasserie serving comfort food, and tries to use UK-based suppliers wherever possible, and uses sustainable fish and they try to avoid endangered fish like tuna. "We went here for an office lunch as this place is like a 10 minute walk from Canary. This is one of the things that fascinates me of the London signages, you would see quite a few of these pointing to the Historic river pubs'. You may be fooled to think there is a beautiful marina like thing coming up but you are in for a surprise. There are a couple (which does make the signage saying pubs and not not pub correct), and this is one of them Typical pub ware, fish and chips was ok, but then that how difficult is battering something and putting in oil, eh?"

"This was my first lunch in london .. was so looking fwd for this .. an amazing Italian fair .. absolutely love the pizza .. had a peroni camp to make it down to gulp .. for two .. just overlook the dod with möwen and the beautiful warm sun over our shoulders... "Im sorry to say but I must leave a bad review of this eatery because the staff where pleasant .The food however was what id call naff ! No better than a cheap East end cafe offerings and missing in all attention to materials and cooking flair. Olives with chill flakes which we never asked for .. two insipid froen prawn cocktail was smothered in ketchup and covered a plate ? The bread was cheap processed white .. No artisan oven bread here.The steak was chopped up and covered with artichoke pieces and the pastas boring and dry.My lasagne was no better than an Asda offering .So only the wine to satisfy. We may be spoilt having dined at Cafe Pastas first outlet in Islington but they did show you could have excellent Ialian food at very reasonabale prices that ticked the boxes freshness and taste wise.This restaraunt needs better direction and a big lift in quality before we return."

"Simple in this case is very, very good! I have eaten here twice in the past two weeks. It’s a refreshing option to all the Indian restaurants on Brick Lane. For my review I am using the word ‘simple’ in the most positive way. This is a small restaurant with a well thought out simple menu. Many classics: steak and frites; mussels and frites; and Onion soup. Service is quick and attentive but not rushed. The food is on point proper portions and on point. No Paul Bocuse complexity here. I will return like next week"
