"Upon being seated we asked our server about the wine list. Apparently there is only red or white and don’t ask any questions. When we did ask questions , our server got upset and sent someone else to serve us. We got good service from there on, food was ok pub food, calamari good although a bit greasy, and the diner special looked as good value for money. Servers should know a minimum qabout what they are selling, including wines even though this is not really a recognized wine area. Not many places to stay these days so check ahead and cover your bases if you can back out if need be."

"When we went into the restaurant, we were "greeted" by a sullen-looking man I took to the manager, and he looked for all the world like this was the last place he wanted to be. No smile, nothing. He took our order, and disappeared. They weren't busy, there were maybe half a dozen other people in the restaurant. While we were waiting for our meal, we could plainly hear a "domestic dispute" in the kitchen, and though not in English, it didn't take much for the imagination to "get the drift of it". The one thing I can say is that the FOOD was VERY GOOD, but the "ambience" was definitely lacking! While we were there, another couple came in and sat at the table behind us. They ordered red wine, when it came, it was white wine, and were told they were all out of red. Then the man ordered grilled salmon, and was told they were all out. I don't recall what he ordered next, but they were "all out". We were two of the luckier ones, I guess, because I'd ordered liver and onions, it came, and was delicious. My husband ordered Salisbury Steak, and it too was delicious. In short, food was good, but the service and the atmosphere were non-existent."

"Food, gas, mechanic all reasonable priced and all on one lot. I had driven by this restaurant numerous times. I stopped for a change and was pleased I did so. Other reviewers indicated the food was like home cooking. I agree with them. Service was warm and friendly. One was made to feel at home. The prices are excellent as compared to what places in Valemont are charging (I included a copy of their menu for reference purposes). Conveniently located on the same lot is a gas station that is self serve and open 24/7 365 days/yr. You do need to pay at the pumps, I didn?t see an attendant. Their price for gas is always lower than in Valemont (where only Tempo post their price). Separate from the gas station but again on the same lot is an old fashion service mechanic shop. I saw them assisting a traveller with their tires. Overall, a great experience of old fashioned service. Please note, the location is not very well lit."
