"Had a nice meal tonight, I had the fillet steak rossini, which was excellent and cooked to perfection, my wife had the steak pee, which was just as delicious, the staff was really great and the beer was second to none. flawless meal and drinks at a good price. highly recommended. What else could you ask?"

"No idea where to start, but not going again. I was drinking this coke, I thought, but after checking my sugar I didn't find it. in the next round I saw after the order and the dame poured me full of fat koks. When I told her, she changed to die in the middle as if it were okay. I'm diabetic and it's not okay. the renter is also very rude and what was a great pub when I was younger. is far from it now."

"We had been told it was a friendly pub, and that their pie night on Mondays was wonderful. My first ever visit to the place. It didn’t disappoint. There was a pleasant buzz of chatter from the people who are quite clearly locals and regulars. It is nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. As for the pies…….. I’ve known and loved many a steak and ale pie. I’ve sat back and sighed as they became less and less like pies and more like shortcrust baubles with barely any filling. I’ve pushed away the flaccid offerings that are described as chips. I’d given up on ever having a proper pie with proper chips. Until tonight. This is real pie. Melting chunks of beef oozing out. Real chips. Rich gravy. Nothing fancy. Plenty of it. Hot. Served within minutes. Very reasonable price. I couldn’t manage it all but it was a revelation real food, real pub, good atmosphere. Thankyou for restoring my faith in the great British pub classic steak and ale pie and chips."

"We came on sunday for lunch after our trip down the mine. We did enjoy the food that was available but there wasnt the largest of choices. The kids sandwich boxes are ok, but not the greatest of hot choices. of us wanted to...try the giant sausage Yorkshire pudding but as you only surply onion gravy she changed her mind and just had a sausage sandwich. Maybe having a choice of gravy without the onions would be an idea in the future for people who don't like the taste of onions? We also had the brownie and it wasnt like a brownie, it was like it hadn't been baked enough and was a bit like plasticine on the bottom, we couldn't wat it all. All in all it was ok, but if we visit the mining museum again and the weather is nicer we will be taking a picnic I think."
