"We moved nearby and we 're hoping for a nice local pub. Very happy to say we have one. Staff are very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Seperate dining area and bar, with service prompt in both areas. We went on a Friday evening and it was much...quieter in the dining area than expect (very popular in the bar area without being overcrowded) Service was quick and very friendly, with the food absolutely lovely. We had the cauli bites and the chicken wings, followed by two of the burgers. Well presented and fresh tasting. Very happy to have a 'local ' that is one we want to spend time in. Dog friendly as far as we believe, but we 've never tried with ours as she 's very moody in her old age."

"I would highly recommend this eatery for the high quality of food and the comfortable and clean dining area . The two members of staff who looked after us were very sociable and nothing seemed too much trouble for them . Abbey and Sehren were definitely one or two of the reasons we will come back . Give The March Hare a visit. You won't be disappointed . Even if it's to use the spotless toilets !"

"Lovely little country pub, stopped for a late lunch on Saturday, fast service food was excellent for the price. Last time I visited was a few years ago had Lincolnshire sausage pie couldn't find it on the menu this time which was a shame as I remembered how delicious it was, ordered a all day breakfast which was lovely although not Lincolnshire sausage, my partner had a cheeseburger which he said was lovely. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Burger and Chips and Coleslaw"

"The huge TV was the only thing alive and far too loud... The barman (owner) was barely civil and couldn't be bothered to serve... When wanting to place an order, he disappeared when he returned, he said it was too late to place an order.... It was 8.45 the menu states last food orders at 9... we only wanted a desert he said the kitchen was closed but we saw people in there. He then took the order when it eventually arrived, it didn't taste anything like the description as the microwave had zapped the flavour... It's such a shame that one person can blight the reputation of a formerly good place to eat. If you can't be bothered, there are plenty of people who can why not employ one of them start to turn a profit???? It's the second time my friend had been when they have turned off the lights before she reached her car meaning she had to fumble in pitched darkness for her keys... not very friendly or helpful or safe."

"Food was excellent and a great choice of real ales. Loved the beer from the Horncastle Brewery. Staff were particularly attentive and knowledgeable on the large selection of drinks. We will be back when next in the area."

"Great welcome.nice and clean, homemade food from ground to simply beat a wine bar and gin distillery to get lincoln pub of the year. in any case recommend. that was a common plate for two. 11.95 and every penny worth."

"Service was quick, waiting staff are lovely. The problem was the children’s pizza dough was raw did not notice until they had finished and we tried some of their food, and the fish (from adults fish and chips) tasted of cheese when we mentioned it to the older lady clearing plates her response was “well is shouldn’t taste like that.” We did have three other meals that were nice, just a shame it’s not consistent.Will only return for drinks."
