"The cafe looks homely with live music. We stopped by for a casual brunch. It was the weekend morning and the place was busy. They had some typical brunch menu on that day. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my partner took some French toast stack with eggs, cheese, bacon, chicken fry etc. The shrimp and grits were great, although not the best one that I have had the opportunity to eat, but very sumptuous and wholesome. The portion size was too big for me to finish. I ordered some breakfast potato as a side. That was terrific with some fried minced garlic. The portion size of the potato was very less. The dish that my partner ate , was kinda hangover food. It?s big, greasy and extremely high calorie. He couldn?t finish as well. Overall the place is good. The food is cooked fresh, with good ingredients and love and care. I will go back again."

"We were on a long road trip and had spent four days in new orleans and this beat everything we had eaten there. actually it was the best meal of the trip. the staff was very friendly and helpful. we had the filet with the oscar. the best steak we ate. also the cancer techie was amazing, I could see why it is award-winning. my man ate gumbo clear through louisiana and florida and that was the best. We were warned that there could be a waiting time, but we sat and brought drinks and garlic bread. the server waited for us immediately. that was a great meal."

"Worst experience ever! Awful service (we were the only table in there), took forever for our food, food was cold and not right, waitress answered her cell phone while at our table waiting on us, took 30 minutes to get water's, never got a refill. THEN they automatically add 20% gratuity on the bill no matter the size of the party! Then to top it all off the waitresses were taking shots while we waited for another 30 minutes to get our bill after they took our plates. Never, I mean NEVER again will I go here. Save yourself the hassle and order a pizza if in town."

"Shoneys is a legendary restaurant for the southern states. I always look forward to eating there whenever I'm close. Unfortunately, they offer their seafood buffet and I am allergic to seafood. I just ordered breakfast food to be safe. The flap jackets were thick and fluffy. You were really good. I also had a Philly Steak and cheese egg white Omelette. It was pretty delicious. The staff was really sweet and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit here."
