"Very rude service. I was the only person there and he just ignored me for 2 minutes before grunting at me to take my order. Didn't even bother to take his headphones out to do so. Wasn't given any indication of how long it would take so stood in the cold for 15 minutes. But to be fair my lamb kebab with the lot was very nice"

"QUIRKY SPANISH RESTAURANT BAR ON BUSY BRIDGE ROAD Bouzy Rouge is a plush, expansive restaurant with an exaggerated 1960 's Spanish decor (think leopard skin patterned chairs, a wall mounted, mirror surfaced El Toro peering down at you and various Spanish swords and implements adding to the theme. The staff are relaxed and welcoming and the place is very LGBTIQ friendly. The main dining room is a long narrow room with a mix of small table and longer bench seat table combinations. The noise level is surprisingly low despite the crowds that flock here probably due to the plush soft fabrics on the chairs and the ceiling mounted sound dampeners that run the whole length of the room. There is an al fresco area at the rear which is even more 'Spanish '. The menu is quite expansive with a nice balance between the tapas style entrees and the signature main courses. Four of us selected four entrees and the lamb shoulder as our main. That was plenty as the main is quite a large serve. Good selection of cocktails and wine (the espresso martini is particularly good! We went on a Saturday evening where there are two sittings (early sitting finishes at 8 pm . There is a bar at the front of the dining room as well. People with mobility issues will be fine as it is all on one, even floor with no steps to negotiate."

"Stopped by today as it looks a quaint and interesting looking place. I ordered the seafood vol-au-vent that was served with wedges and salad. The vol-au-vent itself wasn't too bad but the salad was a half hearted effort and the wedges were not edible. The place has so much character which is why I stopped in the first place) so really hope that the management would pull their socks up about the quality of food."

"My daughter and I are currently enjoying our first meal at The Butchers Bench. The atmosphere is so comfortable with it's mood lighting, comfortable seating and layout. For dinner I have enjoyed my Rib Eye which was so succulent and juicy which I ordered with a side of crisp vegetables, it came topped with a sprinkle of salt for a flavoursome finish. Desert was a chocolate fondant, so rich in flavour with a scoop of ice cream and strawberries. Staff were very quick to respond to requests and food came at a reasonable speed. I give this restaurant 5 Stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to eat with amazing food. Daughters comments... For dinner I enjoyed a chicken ceaser salad made of refreshing lettuce, ceaser dressing, chicken pieces, bacon and boiled eggs. The staff are very kind and make you feel very welcome and comfortable."

"Came here for a meal recently that was unfortunately a bit lacklustre. The sausage was very salty and could have used a bit of mash or something to balance it out. The stracciatella and anchovy toast was good but the tomato dish was also a bit underwhelming. Service and drinks were nice though I appreciate the extensive selection. Would just love to see more beers that mirror the quality and uniqueness of the wine list."

"We ate here last night and are already thinking about heading back later this week for a birthday celebration! Really delicious and fresh food, great drinks choices, absolutely lovely staff and a surprisingly good vibe! So good having this little gem in our hood."
