"Our party of have just had a meal at the Beefeater at Southcote and it was very disappointing and not of its usually high standard. Firstly our drinks took a very long time to arrive, The Gin and tonic was so watered down that it took attempts to get one that at least had some taste. I ordered a jacket potatoe with my main corse and then about minutes later Zia was informed that they had none and I reluctantly had to settle for chips. The steaks were not the best and was not cooked as requested. I asked for medium but it was nearer to well done. I then ordered Sticky Toffe pudding ice cream sundae only to be told this was being taken off the menu next week and was no longer available. Why wasn’t I toldt t this was not available when given the menus. The coffees arrived without milk and this too took quite awhile to be brought to the table. A very dissapointing experience. I don’t think I will be visiting again any time soon."

"E-Mail a quote in januar for 50% discount. we thought we would book for father-in-law birthday on 6th february. restaurant had booked at least two weeks, but decide to call the day of booking to inform that their kitchen is open for a da and will be a few weeks before sorting. if they had informed us earlier, we would have found another place to eat, since I spoke to the restaurant they were great. we were offered a new voucher, and this time we were eating was good. the wings were crispy and good to eat and I can recommend the banoffe sundae"

"Awesome chicken roast, the rest of the table shaved around the steak, big sourdough brot starter, and the sides we enjoyed were the Mac cheese framed spinat. was not a big fan of the hash side. the sticky toffee pudding was the great pudding winner; I was disappointed in the plum crumbs (too liquid and not broken enough). reservations recommended!"

"Inventive and original versions of brasserie classics, life affirming cocktails, discreet and amiable staff. Don't be scared to choose from the lower priced end of the wine menu as it's still really good the prices do go a bit crazy thereafter. Overall a great experience."
