"First time visiting. Table booked for 5.30pm on a Sunday, we were sat down promptly and drinks and food orders taken pretty quickly. That's where the service kind of stopped for a while. Food arrived almost an hour after ordering, we asked for another round of drinks as the food came, we didn't have chance to ask anyone whilst waiting for food as the staff literally never stopped for a second. Within 2 minutes we had another staff member ask if we wanted drinks, 5 minutes after that we'd been table checked twice then nothing again. It was meant to be a two hour booking, by 7.15 we'd only had one course, no one had cleared plates or asked if we wanted any more courses. We had to go ask for the bill at the bar. I will say, the food was incredible, my fillet steak done perfectly, the staff were great but quite obviously there wasn't enough of them to look after each table properly. We'd return again when quieter. Lovely place but quite obviously understaffed for how busy it was which is understandable after everything that's happened and the shortage of people in hospitality but book out tables according to your capabilities."

"Never been here until last night. I came with my wife and my son. it was my prebirth-day meal (man,) which is on Tuesday. as well as the meals were amazing. my wife and I had the bark and beer cake amazing. the bark in the pie was so tender, we loved it, and my stepson had a well-made steak that he also loved. would definitely be back for more. the staff was friendly and helpful. could not wish. highly recommended."
