"I made reservations on line, for Tuesday October 16th for 4 people. Bards confirmed. Only to find out when we’re arrived, that they were closed. The Hub which was located upstairs and next door to Bards said they had changed back to their Fall/Winter hours. So, we then ate at the Hub, which was quite nice. And it would have been decent if Bards had informed me. Also We chose Bards, because they had a full back page add in the Brochure for the Stratford Festival."

"We were excited to see this place, as Stratford needs a steakhouse. I wish I could rave about the food. It was ok. The service was very, very attentive and warm from our server and other servers, as well. I do hope they do well. The food is beautifully presented. Oysters were well worth it! Perhaps some growing pains at the moment with the steak. Escargot was mediocre.We sent our tomahawk (serves two) back because it was rare rather than medium. Before we sent it back, the manager came over at our request and she told us it looked medium. We then sent it back. It came back medium rare. My husband was very frustrated by then. The server said she'd get a second manager. The second manager seemed to have difficulty grasping our frustration and offered desserts on the house. An establishment charging $125 for a steak should know what they're doing when it comes to cooking a steak. Also they told us they ran out of Bernaise sauce at 6pm, which is a standard steakhouse sauce. They did discount our bill but it would have been really nice if the steak was cooked medium as we wished. We would have been happy to pay the full bill for good product."
