"This is a local Chinese restaurant located in a strip mall with lots of regulars. It's nothing fancy, but good solid food. We always know we'll be happy and full. Prices are good and reasonable. I've been to this restaurant with extended family at least 4 times and I'm sure we'll be back."

"My friend and I went to lunch and asked for a menu. the server pointed to a QR code on the table and said scan that with their phone. we have responded that none of us had one and we would like paper menu. we said. that they don't have, but they came with a grubby tablet and told us that we could use this to access the menu. we left and went somewhere. now I know many people (especially seniors) who do not have or want to. when this trend spreads out, it means eating out of pastness will be."

"This is my oldest sons favorite bistro/cafe when he still lived and worked in Downtown Toronto. He told us he usually takes his dinner here after work. After our visit to the Toronto Christmas Market, my son decided to treat us for dinner in this little bistro/café. This small café is located on the second floor of a building next to an RBC branch in Chinatown. This is a typical Chinese no fuss café serving fried rice, noodles and some fusion dishes (Indonesian, Singapore and Thai inspired dishes). They also have daily specialties that are not in the menu, but written on the white boards on the wall of this small café. If you see a heart next to the item, that means it is a favorite/popular item on the menu. We ordered two popular roasted rice clips, a roasted noodle dish and my son ordered a chicken dish with tomato base. All our meals came with the choice of 3 types of soup, Chinese (only simple soup with carrots), creamy and tomato soup. I understand why his sons favorite restaurant because it probably reminded him of Singapore's Hawker Food. It also reminded me of Singapore Hawker Center Essen. Average rice dish is about $12 which is a bit expensive."

"I have been to this restaurant over 20 plus years when still working at downtown. After retired, whenever go to downtown, always go there and eat!! Until 2020 March the whole world turned upside down!! Have not been eaten out since then!! Today is the...first time eat out and travel from city north to House of Gourmet! They checked my vaccination identity card (LIKE!! . They have special menu everyday for $9.50. Today is BBQ duck Soy sauce chicken with veggie, daily soup and coffee or tea. I must say it was a good meal consider the food cost nowadays! The servers are pleasant and I can feel they are happy in their job. Add oil, House of Gourmet!"
