"I had a combo platter last week and was extremely disappointed. The rice was over cooked and Bland. The chicken balls were tough, and the veggies were also over cooked. I'm usually not one to complain but it was not good ."

"My favourite Chinese takeout was closed for some holiday time - very upsetting - so I had to get my order from elsewhere. My Google research showed Country Place as the closest to home, seemed reasonably priced, had the menu online, offered free fried rice with a minimum $38.00 order - no problem since we were 6 for dinner - and had a decent review. We were able to closely duplicate the dishes that we were used to, including Cantonese Chow Mein, Buddah's Delight (a mixed veggie assortment with tofu), General Tsao's, a beef and broccoli dish, chicken with mixed vegetables, and something else which I can't remember. The quality was very good all around, especially the beef and broccoli, although in general, I felt that the vegees were a bit over cooked. While the free fried rice was included, it was a bit surprising that plain steamed rice was not. 6 dishes for the six of us plus one (small) egg roll each was just right, with only a bit of leftovers. I would indeed go back to Country Place, should my local takeout have the nerve to be closed again !! Please note that any additional comments are based strictly on takeout, and not eat in."

"Been using Wans for years, always consistent. Large menu. Very much a North American menu but done very well. I suggest trying items off the chefs suggestions. You can now order online too which is a fabulous addition."

"The first time I tried 'So Good ' it was more like 'so not good ' but after a few years, and seeing a facebook post about their salt and pepper tofu, I had to try it again. The restaurant is small, it has a home kitchen kind of feel to it and the menu is huge so many items to choose from what to choose? (Please don 't come here and order Vietnamese food though you can just cross that section out, so that narrows down your options;P). The salt and pepper tofu is quite good, it 's not very spicy, has just a little bit of spice, and it 's not over fried either so you can actually taste the tofu inside. What 's more is the food comes out in about 10 minutes and the service is quite efficient. So Good is not my first pick for a Chinese restaurant though, simply because there are many that are bigger and have the same quality/better food. For example today, I had the salt and pepper tofu from Ng 's Cuisine and they certainly outdid So Good. But it 's not so bad as I once thought it was."

"Visited the Bayshore location 2 weeks ago visited Carlingwood today. Better service, bigger portions, fresher food. I ordered the exact same items at both locations and I received a larger portion and it was 40 cents cheaper at Carlingwood. Will never visit the Bayshore Manchu Wok again. Unfriendly staff, small portions, more $ and the chicken was hard."

"We take out from here usually once a month..delivery...but we have picked up as it is 5 mins. from our home. They are always prompt. .veggies are fresh. ..shrimp dishes don 't disappoint. We always ask for not spicey . I recommend without reservation."
