"I was here tonight. I thought this place was nice, pretty romantic, but he wasn't at all. it is a very loud place, people stand at the bar that is right next to the entrance. music was so loud that I could not even understand what my friend said when she was sitting before me. St Regis does! NO reference to Valentine 's Day anywhere at this luncheon event for friends that cost $700USD the birds constantly landing on tables and unafraid of dogs, children, and diners; the complete disregard for Valentine 's Day with NO mention on menu, no special desserts, no Valentine 's welcome on the table, and no Valet welcome for the Valentine 's Day; security greets at main entrance us with Are you staying here? ... perhaps a good afternoon and welcome to our property..... are you a guest or a visiting tourist with a reservation? ; filthy, unkept bathrooms behind the restaurant (see photos) Our server Hector told us the pastry chef would come to our table as he was close by (and he NEVER EVER came to our table) as we wanted to inquire about the Strawberry Eton Mess (which was just a soup no meringue or ice cream or anything even matching the description) and the Chocolate Lava (which came overbaked and cold) ; they were OUT of Panna Cotta on Valentine 's Day with no special desserts either; a buggy brought us from Valet parking to the restaurant; when we asked about a buggy to take us back to the front with our 91 year old guest with a cane, the boy at the sunscreen shop said it 's better for you to walk, and I don 't have a phone here. I went back to the restaurant and they phoned a buggy immediately HOW DO YOU MESS UP DESSERTS ON VALENTINE 'S DAY FOR FIVE? THE SAINT REGIS DEFINITELY DID! "This place is not only so cute but the food and service is incredible! When we first walked in the host was very welcoming (Unfortunately I forget her name, my fault not hers) and we were seated after showing our vaccination cards which personally made me feel very safe. We did have a reservation and I think that is the way to go as it was getting packed right at 5pm. We were seated in the cutest booth and had the waiter Will who was everything of the sort. Will knew the menu like the back of his hand and help us indecisive ones decide what we want. The food was incredible as well. I had the Hanger Steak which I did not regret one bit and others had the chicken sandwich as well as short ribs and dessert! Not one of us were disappointed about anything. The food also came out really quickly which was a nice surprise since they were busy! If you are looking for a special date night, birthday, girls night, or even happy hour this place is awesome. Cant wait to go back. I also felt like prices were very reasonable (for the city)."
