"I was hesitant to come here at first because it gave off a 'greasy spoon ' vibe but I was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Pad Thai, Massaman curry (which had thinly-sliced lamb slices, potato, and peanuts), BBQ Grilled chicken, Tamarind Beef stir fry, and Eggplant with fish stir-fry with several bowls of coconut rice. Of these, my favourites would be the Pad Thai, which was quite flavourful and not drenched in sauce and the Massaman curry. <br/ <br/ Unlike the more popular Thai places, the flavour of the food here had a home-cooked taste to it, where all the ingredients were not measured but rather thrown in by a mother 's experienced hands. Not surprisingly, I found out from the waitress, who was the daughter that it was in fact, her mother as the one chef working that night."

"I have been living in the mount pleasant and Eglinton area for 5 years and this is seriously the best food in this area! Bolan is such a nice restaurant with great atmosphere. I usually do take out for lunch or dinner at least 2...times a month. For this area they are affordable and very authentic. When you ask for the food to be spicy, they give true Thai spice and don’t hold back! The food is mouth watering, smells and tastes amazing and presented very well. On average a meal can be 10-15$ and very filling. Usually, with takeout, I am able to eat my food over 2 meals because the portions are really food. This place is good solo, or for dinner with friends and family. Usually the food is by the plate, but you could probably order a few dishes and still share. I highly recommend getting: Fried wontons (appetizer) Green curry on rice (extra spicy) either vegetarian or chicken Ka-prao Gai Kai-dow (Extra spicy) Pad see ew Papaya salad -extra spicy (this is off menu, but they will make it) Try this place out. You’ll find yourself craving for the food... mmm"

"It's okay if you're in a pinch, but the food is disappointing. There are some of the most boring Thai food I had and I eat a lot Thai. It's not even very high when Canadian standards are running. Order your delivery from Friendly Thai to Roncesvalles. They are helpful and able to veganize many of their dishes."

"I have been to Thailand a few times and perhaps I am a bit spoiled as it would be hard to find a decent thai restaurant in Toronto. However there are a few that stood out but NOT this restaurant at all. I was shocked...about the lack of fresh ingredients that would make you say...awww Thai food....so good. Instead each dish was either sloppy, dry or bland. My friend and I were encouraged to give this place a try based on their past positive reviews but as of now they don't deserve any praise, We ordered the King noodles (so dry and its presentation was awful), Green curry chicken (barely any chicken but so many bamboos as if they just dumped the whole processed bamboos from a can. It was very bland. The fried eggplants were ok but it needs some kick. Would we return? A big NO!"

(Other locations offer more dining room space) Great take-out or dine in options.<br/ <br/ Excellent Pad Thai and Green Curry Chicken. Service is always fast, friendly and accommodating. "I find it incredibly deceptive that this restaurant is actually called Urban Thai. I live just next door to this restaurant and purposely did not go there. The food is always terrible (today included). In addition they are rude and I believe practice poor food safety standard. I would have NEVER EATEN there if foodora hadn’t purposely midlead me. I will not be using your service again."
