"Nice selection of beer. My fish and chips were lovely, the fish was large and batter crispy and the chips were delicious. Nice mushy peas as well, but could have done with some nice tartare sauce to go with it. The wife’s roast dinner seemed nice, though a bit mean with the amount of gravy offered (though she did get more when asked. My youngest kids meal was very good (chicken and chips) which she enjoyed and good value with ice cream for afters. The only real disappointment was my eldests meal. Being vegetarian the choice was a bit limited but she liked the crispy vegetable pancakes. It turned up as one large pancake which resembled something like a slightly burnt omelette and not what we were expecting and looked poor especially for nearly £16 it looked quite unappealing. She didn’t complain but if I’d been served it I would have sent it back. The only negative in a generally good experience. Dog friendly which is a bonus. The pudding were nice, but again a bit mean with the custard!"

"The bar is busy with hotel guests being informed to eat here, found the place welcoming and menu with a choice of basic food fish and chips, steaks, burgers or pizza. My choice Fish and chips followed by chocolate brownie and ice cream. Tables have no numbers so don’t know how the staff remember who ordered what but wasn’t any problem to them when I visited, staff were very friendly and charming Enjoyed my meal and a few drinks just people watching and from everyone’s reaction all meals got the thumbs up"

"Today again landed there for Sunday dinner. reserved a table and we were greeted wonderfully by the staff, very friendly! they put us a table outside on their beautiful terrace and looked attentively after us. the place was quiet and we couldn't work out why it is a jewel of a pub! the sunday roast was brilliantly cooked and presented. only the correct amount enough to have a little space to enjoy one of their lovely deserts. our girls loved the Swiss roll and we enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. a beautiful and relaxing Sunday afternoon at a very reasonable price! thank you."

"We visited bang on 12 noon and I'm glad we did. By 12.30 pm the pub was full of diners. The fire was roaring beautifully. The atmosphere was lovely. We ordered a sharing platter which was huge, beautifully cooked and good value for money. The staff were warm, welcoming and efficient. There's no wonder this pub is always full inside and also outside in the warmer months. I would highly recommend the Busfeild Arms for all the above reasons and the lovely location."

"Good for a quick bite to eat. I normally tend to get a bacon sandwich with tomatoes (they do fresh and tinned tomatoes) or a burger which is delicious!!"

"I ordered food for collection and was told 15-20mins. I arrived after 10 and called in to ask if it was ready, I was greeted with a friendly welcome and said he will see how long itll be. The man said it's ready in 2 minutes I got my pizza and my gfs cheesy chips both of which were spot on. I picked our some pakoras whilst waiting they were spot on too! Cant fault the staff, they're dead friendly and made me feel welcome whilst waiting even though I could see they were rushed off their feet. I'll visit this place again. Food was decent and the chaps were decent aswell. Be nice to people and people are nice in return."
