"We booked Sunday lunch beef based on previous reviews and were very keen to support a community run pub. On arrival we were told that there was a replacement chef at short notice so rather than roast beef we could have beef steak. One of us had the beef and the other chose turkey. The food was excellent, particularly the vegetables but it seemed a bit odd to have stuffing and a sausage with the beef and a Yorkshire pudding with the turkey. It still got eaten with a bit of food swapping! All the staff were friendly and attentive. As it was Sunday lunch the music could have been quieter but otherwise we would definitely return again."
