"Just Diners in the restaurant. Didn't the spider weaving on the table like it looks ad, although they were all set. for a while. Food was good, though the strangest gammon steak ever saw. You don't know what the tea portion was when we broke our teeth to bite it."

"The restaurant looks quite trendy and the atmosphere was good. However sadly that’s where the positives end. The staff were rude and disinterested, the service was poor (yes, it was busy, but that doesn’t explain how slow staff were to respond), the food was bland and overpriced. Won’t be back."

"Another great lunch in this beautiful Gastro Pub. Always has great Scottish fayre. My wife had Skullen Skink followed by smoked haddock I had liver and onions followed by apple crumble and custard. Great warmers on such a cold and drech day. My friend sausage and onion followed by apple crumble and custard. My cousin had a Haggis, needs and tatties with a cream sauce followed by sticky toffee pudding."

"Table for four was booked for today, yesterday, an hour or so after our Bar Luca trauma. I’m optimistic and saw this as a palate cleanser. It was. Staff were wonderful, efficient, and attentive. Food was very good. I could go into detail, but as all four meals were excellent I feel that would be over egging a tad pizza ‘make’ your own); steak pie, chips and veg; macaroni cheese and chips; and fish and chips with mushy peas. Followed mains with cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate cake, all with varying combinations of ice cream and cream. I recommend The Wee Train to anyone looking for good food at fair prices. Four mains, three puddings drinks £63 tip."
