"We visited today, after previously visiting before, I have to say I was a little disappointed that the menu was majority fish especially with the starters Im not a big fish eater! There was very little option for non fish lovers as a starter except gazpacho soup. Before we even were seated we were kept waiting for 10 minutes to be sat down as a table was making 4 different payments in front of us. When we did eventually sit down the table was incredibly sticky, and despite being asked to be cleaned it needed a deeper clean than that. Food was fairly good, bit disappointed with the chicken burger and the roast the staff were helpful though. You could definitely tell they were short staffed."

"We visited Bellamy's Bistro 2 weeks ago. If having a meal after 6pm there is parking on the main Street for free. We managed to get an earlier ferry across to the island and after contacting Bellamy's, staff very kindly brought the time of our table forward. Me and one friend had the carbonara and cheesy garlic bread, which was lovely and tasty and my other friend had Bourgenon which she also really enjoyed. The owners were very friendly and were talking to us about how they came to the Isle of Wight. I would definitely recommend."

"Always good food and service. Nice touch having the bouncy castles out the back. Had the burger which was very tasty, chips were lovely, even my kids kept asking for more. Good all round family pub."

"I went for a birthday lunch with some friends. I chose the Wight Mouse Inn because they have a great gluten free menu and I know some of the staff. I have to say the service I received, by Alex in particular, was absolutely first class. He went out of his way to move us to another table we requested without any fuss and was very obliging, courteous, attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and I know I can eat confidently, knowing I’m not at risk of being glutened. I would recommend the Wight Mouse Inn one hundred percent, particularly because of their gluten free tasty range of food, friendly atmosphere and understanding of being coeliac."

"Whilst enjoying our 'cake of the day ' and coffees we looked at the rest of the menu. Our time left in Shanklin didn 't permit to enjoy what seemed like good value cream teas and savoury things. So that 's for next time. We sat in the leafy garden, though inside looked nicely decorated and comfortable. Friendly staff too. In short recommended!"

"On a very cold but sunny January day we needed something quick to warm us up, and we weren't disappointed. We were told the soup of the day was corn chowder and seeing the hesitant look on my face I was quickly offered a sample to taste needless to say we were soon sat down with a large bowl of delicious soup each. We were soon warmed up and on our way. Friendly and courteous staff in a warm and clean restaurant. We'll be back."
