"My wife and I came in for a weeknight fish and chip date night. We loved the quiet ambience and dim lighting. It's was great for a relaxing and cozy evening. We each had a cocktail with dinner, both expertly made. Being a weeknight evening, it was a bit quiet and no one was really around but it was nice and helped to enhance the intimacy. This is a cool place just to come for a drink and look around. It has really great architecture and things hanging on the walls. For dinner we each got an order of fish and chips and I must say it was quite a fish and chips and better than any I had when I visited the UK a few years back. A large piece of golden crispy fish, that was flaky and tender and cooked to perfection. With a splash of vinegar and a dollop of tartar it was a flavorful bite that really hit the spot. The mashed peas were a brightness to an otherwise heavy dish that balanced out the fried fish and chips. The fries were great and perfect for dipping. This isn't your ordinary fish and chips and it felt like a special treat. Staff was friendly but not very attentive. Very clean establishment."
