"On Friday evening with my colleagues sung on this place and we had a nice time. greeted by josh bar, did not wait for our drinks, which were incredibly expensive by the way. they had a singer who had a fantastic selection and played in all age groups. "Living in Atherton for years and passing this pace a couple of times a week we had a walk which is out of our routine drinks.We ordered drinks sadly no cards are excepted which we scrapped the coins together. The food smelt amazing and thus tempted us ... lucky the garage across the road had a cash point. I chose a ploughman's lunch as a light meal and a bowel of chips. The chips were cooked in what taste like fresh oil clean and crisp... the ploughman's was a big plateful of nice ham, small onions, a warm baguette, slaw, cheeses, so much to mention and it was amazing .. only regret not going sooner. Down side only cash accepted"

"Visited with my wife on a rare day off , after hearing good reviews from friends and reading online. We arrived just after noon, and we were the first to arrive. Specials board was packed, but I opted for fish with homemade chips and mushy peas, and my wife went for Liver and Onions. The homemade chips were to die for. The best way to describe how good the chips were was I cut each one in half to eat it . My wife also commented after tasting her first mouthful of her meal (with the lovely onion gravy) I can 't wait to come back again and try something else. By 12:30 (on a Tuesday afternoon) another 5 tables were occupied, I was thankful we had come at right time. Sweets were also very good, again with plenty of choice. Cannot wait to return, hopefully later this week."
