"Small spot tucked off in an old shopping plaza serving good food. Service was quick. A menu item wasn't available and before I ordered I was offered a higher priced item to replace it. This is a service art form that has been lost. On top of that the fish was fried to perfection the sides of greens and mac cheese were great. Will be back to try other menu items."

"I had the salmon sub, it was sooo good. My fries probably would have been good if they were not cold. However, I guess the women working was alone. Although there are bells on the front door, I stood in the front for about 10 minutes before the lady in the back (I guess she was cooking) came out and asked if I was picking up. Nope, no greeting or anything. She didn’t even say thank you. I asked for an email address in order to send this review via email as a coaching opportunity but I was advised that there was no email address. I get that businesses are struggling to find good workers right now. But this type of service definitely need to be addressed."

"Excellent fish cakes and friendly people. This place saved me from the bland crapola served on JHU 's undergrad campus nearby, way back in the '70s. My GI system was a wreck until I found Sterlings, Polock Johnny 's and Leon 's Pig Pen (I 've gotta have spice to live). Leon 's is apparently long gone, but Sterlings hasn 't changed at all, except prices have gone up a little over these many years. I don 't get back too often, but was there on July 4, 2011 and if anything the fish cakes were even better than I remembered them. Everything else looked excellent, too. Seafood sub is amazing--almost more than one 's senses can bear. Locals were getting some beautiful fried chicken, all served quickly and with a smile. The area does look pretty dodgy, but it 's more hardcore poor working class than really dangerous. Do not fail to go there, if you have any chance to do so."

"Good food the atmosphere was laid back and calm .. The service was quick and helpful.... I ordered the stuffed catfish with Mac and cheese and cabbage... The fish was great... The Mac and cheese was good it jus was cold as hell overall the whole meal was cold as ice and I ate it right away.... The sweet potatoes are great too.... The cabbage was extra smack too ????????... I wanna try something different next time but it's a good place tho.. Nothing major tho"
