"Mother Clucker is one of the few street food vendors that has earned a name for themselves, and it's a very cheeky name indeed. I first heard of them around a year ago when I was lucky enough to try their chicken strips with mac cheese at a press event. Their presence at the event told me that they had to be something special, and their food convinced me. I've been dreaming of their chicken ever since, so when I happened upon their van during lunch today nostalgia washed over me. I worked my way through the other street food vans and joined the ridiculously long queue for Mother Clucker. Was it worth the wait? Definitely. The chicken strips were coated in a crunchy, flavourful, twice battered southern fried buttermilk coating. The chicken inside was juicy and tender, whilst the Cajun fries had a slight kick to them, although the accompanying spicy sauce was too much for me to handle. Price wise, the £8 I paid was reasonable. I received 4 decently sized chicken strips, more than enough fries, and a drink. I accidentally dropped the can just after paying for it, but one of the gentleman cooking kindly replaced it for me with no hesitation (I didn't even ask! . I will definitely be back!"
