"This was my first time at the restaurant and while the food overall was very good I did not get the impression that the restaurant does not care much about its customers. The AC broke at least a few hours before we arrived and nobody at the restaurant tried to reach me. I had made a reservation a few weeks before. So we found out upon our arrival. Reluctantly we stayed although it was pretty warm when we sat down. Not surprising at all since it was very hot and humid outside, I’m sure in the 90’s. My friend wanted to stay and I wanted to leave but since she was visiting from out of town so I decided to stay. The server was very attentive however it got warmer and warmer as the evening went on and became unbearable so we rushed through our meal. When we finished eating the server asked if we wanted dessert. He said , “ we have sorbet and other things”. We could not believe that we were not even offered a dish of sorbet or some other dessert on the house. Bad business. It would have been one thing if they were courteous enough to call me when the AC broke and we decided to still go knowing the situation but to tell us the AC was broken oupon our arrival was not nice and inconsiderate. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back which is a shame as the food was very good. In situations l Ike this , classy restaurants do a little something nice for their customers. What would a dish of sorbet cost the restaurant for 2 people. $1? In fact, they should have given every customer who dined with them that night a dish of sorbet or something else on the house. It would have been a lovely and thoughtful gesture and would not have cost the restaurant a lot."
