"I'm not a seafood expert. I grew up on the prairies. That's my excuse. Regardless, I wasn't going to pass up on the offer from a local of a lobster dinner upstairs at Salty's. It's been years since I had lobster. My 1½ pounder did not disappoint. It was nicely cooked, all set to be taken apart and eaten. For me, there was just enough melted garlic butter; others may want more. My asparagus was fresh, pinky-finger thin and properly done. Rhubarb crumble for dessert was a fitting finish. I have to admit that, prior to my trip, I was unaware that Nova Scotia had any wineries. The local wine that we had went well with lobster. One guest had the lobster thermadore, calling it the best he'd ever had. Service was friendly and properly attentive."

"We had a very enjoyable lunch at La Cucina. Our server was very attentive and when we mentioned we'd share the warm spinach salad he offered to put it on two plates for us. I had the seafood soup which was good as always though a tad heavy on the chilis and my husband enjoyed his pizza very much. We always enjoy coming here. Nice to have a good restaurant close to home!"

"Saw this location when walking and decided to give it a try. They have quite a varied menu with multiple options including non seafood related.I had them substitute some items so I could better manage my dietary restrictions and they were more than happy to accommodate that for me.The food was tasty- but the side dish of scallops and shrimp I ordered was not. It was doused in pesto and it was too strong. However the chicken dish and tomato appy we shared was definitely worth it. Large portion of chicken provided which made me happy.Service staff was very friendly and lovely to chat with.The atmosphere was pretty nice, it was upscale but also had some sea vibes.Not sure if you need a reservation to come normally but we didn’t and it went fine.Would be okay to recommend but I personally would probably try somewhere else next time since I’ve already been here.Parking: You need to park elsewhere and walk.There are two parking garages near by."
