"I love MOST things about this place. I love the rooms, the pool area, the beach, the layout, the decor, the staff, the showers, the spa.In the past, we have stayed at the Breakers and while it's beautiful, this is a more comfortable environment. HOWEVER, the beds are miserable, horrible, no good, very bad beds. The mattresses are super firm. I was literally going to check out after the first miserable night but I booked through Booking.com and couldn't leave. By the fourth night, my neck was in horrible pain. I know they can't do anything about his so I can't come back, sadly. I don't know why a hotel would go with super firm mattresses. Makes no sense. The other thing is, the breakfast at the restaurant was inedible. The oatmeal was awful. The creamed spinach Benedict was awful. I ordered crab Benedict without peppers so they opted to put in a huge amount of cooked onions for some reason (wasn't listed on the menu). Waitress (Makenzie) tried so hard to make it right. (She's a keeper). Took it back and asked the kitchen to make it again and leave out the onions and put in the spinach that the menu had listed as an ingredient. Came out a second time full of onions. At this point, I didn't care but the waitress said please let me try again so I did. It was ok but the English muffins were not toasted. I asked to see the manager because it was kind of ridiculous and he was kind of apologetic but was I was leaving, the ladies at the adjacent table told me he slammed down a fork after he left my table because he was mad. Not sure if he was mad at me or the kitchen. Had some other small issues. Dirty, wet soiled washcloth was on my TV stand when I checked in. Mentioned it to the front desk and thought no more of it until the next morning, I noticed the clothes I had put in the drawers at check in were gone. Several phone calls (all initiated by me) resulted in them finally finding a bag of clothes that the maid had taken. I attributed it to the miscommunication over the dirty washcloth left in the room and they were nice about it after that. At first it was kind of like, sure you left that lady. Are you SURE you brought underwear? Anyway, as I said, except for the beds, I would stay there again. A new breakfast chef would be in order. Also, review your bill thoroughly. There was a charge for a dinner we didn't eat of over $300 on the bill and they overcharged me for two blowouts at the spa. This could easily be a 5 star if these issues were worked out. Also, I didn't use the gym but it seemed like a really great gym with nice facilities and even classes like pilates and yoga. And if you are still reading this, the seafood Cobb salad at the Breeze was amazing."
