"That was good. but this place has to pay more attention to cleaning of machines and surfaces. they were not particularly busy when we went, so it is a nice extra note to keep things cleaner."

"First time trying The Bent Spoon in Burlington (ON) this December 2016. I ordered a roasted cauliflower soup “to go”. While I was waiting for my order I was watching the owner make Panini sandwiches. This is what I saw: he was putting items on the sandwich as well as eating bits and pieces of the food at the same time. He was feeding himself and touching his mouth while putting together a client's lunch! He did it several times. He kept wiping his hands on a rag on his work counter and as I was walking out the door, he took the rag and wiped his nose with it. Truly disgusting! It this world of knowledge, how can this restaurant owner not know the importance of food handling! I reluctantly tasted the soup thinking the high heat would have killed any bacteria in the soup and it had no taste! Other clients need to know what they are getting into. Maybe the owner will read this review and realize he needs to learn proper food handling in order to keep his clients healthy. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant!"

"I've been to Mandarin at this location several times, for the most part it has been okay, the variety isn't bad but the desserts are mostly frozen and their alcoholic offerings are overpriced. The reason why people should go to mandarin is their buffet, their is a decent amount of variety and most of the dishes taste good.If they improve their dessert offerings I would have no problem bumping this up to a 5-star rating but until they do it is an average buffet that is slightly more expensive than the average in Burlington with a good variety of steamed, fried or baked dishes to choose from for dinner."
