"Never Disappoints, Came here for Saturday Dinner, started with Padron peppers to share and got a massive portion, Fish and chips for me, Was rich but light, cooked perfectly. Daughter had the monkfish skewers which she gets every time, portions seemed to have got bigger as she couldn’t even touch the pittabread. Drinks were great ONLY suggestion is I’d love to see actually non alcoholic mocktails instead of just mixed juices would love maybe a couple of Lyres non alcoholic spirit options so you feel like your having a real drink. Other than that perfect evening, great staff will try and book more regularly this winter"

"Tucked away in the tiny village of Flushing on the quay side by the ferry is this lovely quiet restaurant. We initially went in to have just a drink and got talking to the chef who was very friendly and welcoming. He mentioned that it was advisable to book so we did. The food was delicious and well presented. I had my favourite which is ray and my husband had hake and chips. We didn’t have dessert as we had shared a baked Camembert to start. As we were staying locally we booked again another night and we both had ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection. We will definitely go again next time we are in the vicinity."

"This place was busy on the Saturday but we managed to get in for breakfast on the Sunday. We ordered 2 big breakfasts and coffees. We did ask for poached eggs and were met with a very strange expression. The waiter explained that he didn’t think the chef could do that. I nearly asked if chef new how to boil water but held my tongue. The table behind us had requested proper butter for their toast instead of sachets provided (not sure why). The waitress advised them to walk to the local shop and buy some! The shop didn’t open for another 40 minutes but this response was so comical I didn’t correct her. Surely, the waitress could’ve asked why the provided butter wasn’t acceptable (allergies/dietary)? We sat bemused and waited. Our coffee arrived but my latte was lukewarm at best and very weak. A few minutes later, breakfast arrived and we had a fried egg each. Poaching was clearly beyond the skill of chef. Bacon was shown the pan but not for very long. Fat wasn’t rendered. Sausages were deep fried a massive pet hate of mine it just smacks of laziness in the kitchen. Beans were cold. My wife’s hash browns had been stuck together in the fryer, so only one side cooked. We reported these issues to the waitress who apologised but offered no solutions. We paid, left, and didn’t return. To sum up a shambles"
