"This place is awesome. Best service, excellent food, wonderful staff, and extremely clean and pleasant environment that is both relaxing and warm. The lunch menu is quite expansive and the lunch portions are essentially a dinner portion. The wait times are zero, and the time it takes from ordering to eating is very fast. I am a vegetarian and the menu has quite a few options to accommodate this. The menu also has options for those who are gluten free and, who have other needs. I’ve been here multiple times on various days both busy and slow and the experience is always the same- wonderful. I highly recommend. There is no other sushi or hibachi or other Japanese food that I’ll eat in this area. Prices are also unbeatable. The food is just great.Vegetarian options: Yes. I am a vegetarian and there are plenty of options for those who are vegetarian or pescatarian.Kid-friendliness: I’ve brought my kids here. "Extremely disappointed by Kona Grill. We ordered two main salads and one sushi roll (3 people). Both salads were simply made with about 2-3 cups lettuce and about 1/4 c. Total other ingredients. My salad didn’t even look like a chopped salad. When we questioned the waitress-she acted like we were bothering her. She actually acted like waiting on us was an issue. We had said we were celebrating someone’s birthday in our reservation, and no one even mentioned it or asked if we wanted to order a dessert. I will not be returning. For the price of salads, definitely not up to par. Not a good lunch or experience. Would not recommend."

"We ordered two of the chef specials: maki and nigiri, plus a few additional things for a group of 4 as a special occasion. It was delightful! The variety and quality of the fish were superb. The nigiri was fresh and the rolls were exciting, well balanced, and pretty. Our server was new to the restaurant, but she was professional, friendly, and attentive. I've been a waiter at a sushi restaurant and there is a lot to learn when you first start! The manager stopped by our table to check in, but we were in very good hands. Everything about our dining experience suggests that this is a well-run restaurant that genuinely cares about serving great sushi.We will be back soon!"
