"The place was empty when I ate there at lunch on 14/1, the service was warm and the four staff on duty were genuine and welcoming. The food was another story, several years ago I had been here and it was a horrendous experience I thought I 'd give the joint a second pass. The tuna was yesterdays thaw it smelt and tasted fishy fridgy both in my Temaki and Maki (see pictures nasty. I definitely was served the leftover fish from the night before, no question. It is important to tell you that I called ahead to check they had fresh tuna and SHISO leaves, and it turned out they had neither. Shiso was incorrectly ordered from Metro said my chef, a very nice man from the Philippines we only have these miniature leaves (Daikon cress and anyway most people throw the shiso away. It seemed complicated to the staff to ask for a crab california roll We don 't have crab California on the menu but as we are not busy we shall do it for you How quirky! I tasted the Miso soup it was dishy washy bland, I asked the chef did they use kombu and dried bonito in it..sadly the answer was no, we use DASHI powder that 's it, this speaks volumes.. I also tried two Hibachi skewers one of Chicken meatballs TSKUNE (Do they make them or buy them? and Chicken breast (Negima no grill in sight this was a badly warmed affair with a cloying Teriyaki sauce which lacked any UMAMI, I had to send the skewers back as they were not cooked enough they returned with no improvement. My Sushi is a soulless affair, zero authentic you have been warned!"
