"When we had settled in our accommodation in the nearby donnybrook motel motor lodge and spent some hours in the apple fun park, we went on looking for dinner. it was a Tuesday night and it didn't seem much. open to this time. during our previous visit we ordered eagle boys pizza, but it seems that they were closed and replaced by a local pizzeria (albeit closed.) I discovered the inspiring outer of the local Chinese esserei and thought I would get something for the young family. when entering the shop of the owners (and from all the accounts the only worker who works in this night) a middle old oriental, politely greeted me and waited patiently as I scanned the menu and discussed options with my wife about handy. we ordered steamed rice, roasted rice, lemon chicken, sweet and acidic pork and szechuan bark. the prices seemed comparable to metro facilities. I was told that it would take 30 minutes, in the time that he disappeared from the back to the sounds of entanging pots and pfannen. the restaurant itself was very inspiring. very dated. floor furniture. a small cabinet that seemed where the glasses were held; that also housed a vintage collection of softdrinks and a radio from the 1970s. a handful of hanging Chinese inspired light fittings was the only deterrent on the type of device that was this. Do not make a mistake, I really wanted this meal to be a rash, so I could write a killer review and make sure that people knew not to judge a book through its cover. I liked the guy behind the counter and since nobody was in the restaurant, I had hoped I would be his success for the night. unfortunately it wasn't to be. the fried rice tasted unusual, the lemon chicken was chewing and exaggerated by the sosse and the sweet acidic pig was even harder. the bark dish was ok, but not enough to for the rest of the meal. if this had been really cheap, then it would be somewhat futile, but as already mentioned earlier prices seemed comparable to Metro shops. I guess if you don't have a lot of business, you have to earn money where you can. another unusual sight was a bag of rice on the floor next to the door. the cynic in me has been sweating whether it was a sacrificial bag to keep the kidneys away from the rest of the food. who knows, but it wasn't a very good look at a restaurant. I am sure that many companies in small cities make it hard, but unfortunately I do not think it will be better for the modern dragon chinese restaurant in its current condition. I hope I'm wrong, because it's good that such cities have choice."
