"We went on a Sunday afternoon looking for a nice lunch special and we were craving some chinese food (mainly I was craving chinese food, some orange or Lemon chicken)Atmosphere was that of a hole in the wall joint, but slightly better. you know the ones with the cheap tile and fixtures that haven't been changed in a while with cobwebs? well this was like that but relatively well maintained (minus the cobwebs)we ordered a couple appetisers even though looking at the menu it looked a little overpriced for what we were getting. we ordered chicken spring rolls and hot and sour soup. The spring rolls were hot, and that's about all I have to say for the positives (you get two tiny spring rolls) apparently they were chicken, I had a hard time finding or noticing any chicken in these, but I think there was so I wasn't going to worry about it. The Hot and Sour Soup wasn't a hit either. While the flavour wasn't TOO bad, they must have missed the measurements because it looked really gross and was insanely vinegar-y and acidic, more so than any I've ever had. almost inedible (and I love sour foods, like raw lemon and I enjoy spice so the intensity usually wouldn't be an issue)we ordered two tiny portions of steamed rice after we found out it wasn't included (for the price, it probably should have been included) along with an order of General Tao Chicken, and Orange Chicken. This is where things start to pick up! (great news right?) both chicken dishes were ok, not a ton of flavour in the general tao's chicken and the orange chicken was a little salty but I enjoyed it. The best part about these two chicken dishes was the batter had a good crisp to it, though the meat was a little chew.that's all for the positives, not a lot but there are some. I had about half my order left, and my partner had just under half. we saved some rice so we could have lunch the next day. When requesting our bill I asked for a box for the food and she took it away. Expecting her to bring me a box I was pleased that she went above and beyond to take the orders back and wrap them herself. I even tipped extra for this. How nice right?Well when we went to actually eat our lunch, we had no rice, no general tao's chicken and about 4 pieces of Orange chicken... I can only assume that she dropped everything and this is all they could salvage that didn't have too much dirt on it. We were none pleased as you can guess, from the lack luster apps, overpriced food, dated decor and the fact that we paid for nearly a whole entre that we never got thisbrings this down from a 2 or 3 star to a 1 star review.Better luck next time!"

"Certainly not the best Chinese food I’ve had in burlington, but fine for a quick lunch. My guess is things are reheated more than being specially prepared for each guest."

"For years, my husband and I had ordered from the restaurant that was in the space that Aroma Kitchen occupies now. After receiving some sub-par food from their new location, we decided to try Aroma Kitchen. The experience is rather confusing---I made the mistake of using my Just Eat app to order from this establishment. As usual (I've never had a successful order using Just Eat, by the way) Just Eat suspended my transaction with nothing more than a note that my credit card didn't work (it was fine). I called Aroma Kitchen to confirm that they had indeed received my order but unfortunately, the person who answered the phone had such limited knowledge of English, she had NO CLUE what I was asking her. Finally, I resorted to re-ordering HOPING that I wouldn't receive a double order. (Ordering was difficult--why would ANYONE put a person with such limited English on a phone??? At least, when dealing in person, one can make hand signals and point!)After an hour and a half, I called the restaurant because our food hadn't arrived. The person on the phone said our order had JUST GONE OUT. If they were as busy as they said they were, and I didn't identify myself, how did the person know my order went out? I felt as if I was being lied to, but decided to wait. After one hour and forty five minutes, my order arrived hot (strange--the man who delivered the order had excellent knowledge of English--why not put HIM on the phone?) Luckily, I checked my bill, noticed it was rather high for the size of bag they gave me and I opened it before the gentleman left. As suspected, I had been overcharged for the price of a seafood dish ($15.00 plus tax) and I didn't even receive the double order--there was only ONE portion in the bag.No complaints on the overcharge--the delivery driver did reimburse me in cash, but the entire experience was a bit of a gong show. I generally wait a few months to try new restaurants just so they can refine their procedures, etc. I felt as if I had waited more than enough time for this restaurant to get their procedures in order but they were still operating as if it was their first day.I tried to sample a few different things on the menu---most were pretty good. I appreciated their less greasy approach, plus their fish was fresh, albeit rather bland. The next day, I added salt and pepper and everything was much better. My husband had Egg Foo Yong which he enjoyed. My Won Ton soup was very good, but unfortunately, the beef ribs I ordered didn't make it to my house.I'll probably try them again in the future, but they didn't make a good enough impression to be my "go to" Chinese food place."

"I have been to this takeout frequently, the food quality (vegetarian) is getting bad on every visit. Seems like they have renovated as restaurant now but the food quality isn't improved (its not even average). I am not visiting again to this restaurant."

"Fantastic! Food was amazing as was the service! The young woman working both the take out counter and serving the restaurant was the sweetest! We stuffed ourselves! Egg rolls were the way they should be. Sweet and sour chicken balls that are mostly chicken and not just batter. Lo mein like we've never had before. Highly recommend!"

"Overall, the food was good. Good service. At the first visit of this place. If you like sweet and salty, then you will love this place. For me it was a little too sweet and a little too salty. The price is not too expensive, but the food content is smaller than I thought. But so far, one of the good Thai restaurants I was in."

"I've been here a few times for dinner with friends/family, but this was the first time getting one of their lunch specials. I could not have been more surprised. Not only was the food ready very quickly, but the quantity and quality were superb. The wonton soup was flavourful and filling on its own, but paired with the fabulous stir fry and rice which was the actual lunch pushed it over the top. It will definitely be a lunch staple."
