"This was our favorite Chinese restaurant in Kansas City. We loved it so much, that we flew back to KC just to go back there again. We went back for this place and Hereford House. They have amazing shrimp spring rolls! Their egg drop soup has nice yolk taste to it as the hot and sour soup is just that...3 star spicy and sour just a tad. The sweet and sour chicken is great along with the cashew chicken. It’s has dark meat but that’s the only down side to this place. The fried rice is great though! The rest of the menu we don’t know about. But we suspect just as good. They do a lot of take out orders. Check this place out if you want some great Chinese cuisine!!"

"I ordered through DoorDash, received my food and found some metal in my food. I'm concerned that other people might have eaten this as well. I'm hoping I didn't eat any of the metal as this might cause health issues with my intestines. I actually chewed this food, the metal piece hurt my tooth and I took this out of my mouth. I work in the ER, ICU etc and know first hand what something like this can do. I called the restaurant and was only offered an apology. Nothing was said about how this could have happened, how this was going to be cleaned/checked or anything. Just a simple apology was given. What if a child ate this or?"

"I really want to give it a 4, but I can’t get past the “filth”. I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for 5-years. The tables continue to get stickier each visit — so much so that the menu got “stuck” to the table. When you go to the restroom, your feet stick to the floor. One of the menus was actually falling apart. They have a bunch of supplies and chairs stacked up in customer view towards the restrooms. All that being said, the service is outstanding. The server is attentive. The food was brought out quickly. There was perfect timing between appetizers and main course. The table was bussed appropriately. We were greeted and seated immediately, even with other guests that entered at the same time. 5-star service. The food. With exception of the crunchies being super stale for the egg drop soup, everything was fantastic. We had egg drop soup for 2 — it was as fantastic as always— there is actually enough for 4 — we had some to take home. They have a nice twist adding shrimp and chicken. I always get the blue crab roll with a generous portion of real crab on top. My daughter had the caterpillar roll, which she very much enjoyed. That roll is not for me — too sweet. It was decorated as a caterpillar with sweet cherries for eyes and eel skin tail, lol. It had a sweet sauce that went well with cream cheese. She loved it, just not for me. Value — I’d have to give it a 2 for my roll — $17.95 is pretty steep for the quality for a single roll. At that price, you might expect “lump” crab meat. I’m pretty sure it’s tiny shreds or canned crab meat — it’s definitely real, not Polock. I don’t think I’ll be going back for a while. Dinner for two with 25% tip was $90. At that price, the service was great, but the cleanliness and stale crunchies were a big turn-off. We did have the spring roll appetizer, 2-rolls, and egg drop soup. The spring roll was fantastic, but the peanut sauce was thick and chunky (unappetizing)."

"You can't go wrong at Joy Wok. Such a variety. Reasonable, clean, food is really good. If you don't know what your hungry for, Joy Wok is the place. Especially if you like crawfish, they do a Great job. One of my favorites. The help are very friendly, prompt cleaning your table, and filling your drinks."

"We had the absolute AMAZING experience at Tao Tao with our first visit last week. The feisty 75 year old Chef who is as cute as a button has been cooking this food for 50 years in the same location!!! How could I have missed this all these years?? She’s famous for her different flavored crab rangoons both savory and for dessert! The service was impeccable from Ms. Tina, the Chef’s daughter and we had no complaints that night except our bellies were full and the distance was worth the drive! The Singapore noodles and the Lomein are a must! Her fried chicken with any sauce you want is tops. I became a fan of egg foo yong when I tasted her crab and shrimp with brown gravy. And the sweet and sour pork just had the perfect blend of acidity and sweetness! Hah! We will be back for more!"

"It was eaten in Tasty Thai in the early 2000s. It was fantastic. Was not in years and decided to stop. The chicken pillow thai ordered and my wife ordered the yellow curry. The yellow curry was really thin and watery and not as creamy as we remembered. It didn't have much vegetables either. The chicken pillow thai tasted much sweeter than I remember. I don't remember the Pad Thai tasting as American back a day."
