"They were friendly and eating was ready in 10 minutes. the portions were well dimensioned. all the food was fresh and hot and homemade. it was not cheap quality. the only complaining is that the aromen were not on point for most articles and was somehow bland for me, but it was still good. hot sour soup and chicken noodle soup was good, but pretty bland, but still delicious. crab rangoon was good, but not much crab. chicken rolls had fresh cabbage and were not overcooked. veggie lo my was bland, but still tasty. meat was delicious and not hard or overcooked. I was disappointed that it wasn't vegetable frying, but the regular roasted rice was also good. Chicken terriaki on a stock was well cooked, but dipped in terriaki sauce, so that was different than I used to marinate the chicken and we didn't care about the sauce. but overall it was good. everything was very well cooked so that it was a very good meal despite my palate."

"We love Lao Laan-Xang at their Williamson Street location, so I was excited to try their Atwood location. I'm happy to report the food was just as good! I'm not sure if there were differences in the menus themselves, but they seemed quite similar.<br>

Everything we ate was fresh with lots of complimentary flavors and textures. We enjoyed the pork egg-rolls and spicy sausage. The beef salad was spicy and amazing. The larp was outstanding. Like most southeast Asian food, the flavors were a mix of sweet, salty, sour, spicy, and everything was fresh. For either location, the food at Lao Laan-Xang seems to be spot-on.<br>

The main difference was in the atmosphere and the service. While the Williamson location has a quirky, I'm eating at my Lao neighbor's house feel, the Atwood location has a professional restaurant feel. It also has a more complete bar w/specialty cocktails. "As good as it gets. This was the second visit and it was even better than the first. Had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and every bite was like tasting BBQ for the first time. If you are anywhere near Madison, GA just go. You won't be disappointed."

"Years ago, I had an employee who told me about this place. I missed my favorite Chinese spot China Star that was closed. China Cottage had never disappointed me and I have been here for years!!! Excellent, friendly service. Great tasteful food! I wish they would make it a buffet, maybe one or two days a week. The sweet tea is also excellent!"

"Fantastic food with fantastic service. We?re visiting from Louisiana, and I have to say that you guys have quite the hidden gem here. The restaurant has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. The walls were covered in beautiful local art for sale. And, most importantly, the service was great. Our server Savina (I hope that?s right) was really kind and helpful. She answered all our questions about the menu and helped us make some of our decisions. She also predicted what we might need and took care of things preemptively. For example, we had mentioned that we were going to split the dishes so she brought a separate bowl and spoon for us to split the soup without us having to ask (something that wouldn?t have occurred to me to ask). Little things like that go a long way. I don?t have pictures of everything we ordered, unfortunately. But for $60 (including tip) we got shrimp dumplings, seafood hot and sour soup, fried green chive cakes, baked BBQ pork buns, the spicy garlic pork entree, and deep-fried dough sticks for dessert. Oh, and a coke. It?s a bit of a splurge for the two us, but these were all dishes we had never had before and we took about 1/3 of the food back with us for leftovers. We?re staying at a hotel next door, and it?s going to take all of our willpower to not just have every meal here. If we do end up moving here, Nani will be at the top of our list of local favorites."

"My wife and I enjoy this place a lot, it's pretty much our go-to chinese restaurant. The food always tastes good and the plates are massive and cheap(When we want the same thing, we just get one combo for like $7 and easily split it. CALL AHEAD and that will save you lots of time. I can't recommend that enough."
