"We had the sticky fried rice, bone in chicken with black bean sauce, pork neck with XO sauce, and the sweet and sour pork. The food was good and the prices we were ok. I would like to try some other dishes here next time."

"Our family have been eating here for many years and we have never had a poor experience. Huge selection of fantastic dishes. The King of BBQ Pork (order in advance) is something special, even highly rated by reviewers in Hong Kong. Service is very prompt and the food is fresh and beautifully presented for a mid priced restaurant."

"Great Service, Good Food. The staff and owners of Garlic Onion are very friendly, and service is always prompt and attentive, especially when compared to the typical Chinese restaurant. The menu offers a fair amount of variety, the curry is tasty and very spicy. The dinner menu comes with free soup, and both the hot sour soup and the Tom Yum soup are excellent. Also good are sweet and sour chicken and eggplant with minced pork. Overall, this restaurant provides excellent value for Richmond Hill diners."

"If you go to a new restaurant on a Wednesday night, at 9pm, and it is packed to the brim, you KNOW there's a lil' sumthin sumthin going on.Came here with the family and ordered 3 dishes. The price of the dishes are around $15-20 each, but we ordered the fried yellow-fin Garoupa, which is a pricier dish at $30. The meal comes with a big vat of soup, with the meats and veggies that the soup is made with being served alongside. Very delicious, and practically counts as a dish in itself. We ordered the steamed chicken, a classic dish. The chicken is smooth and meaty, not too salty. Also ordered the beef with bitter melon. Everyone on the table agreed that the beef was absurdly good - tender, flavourful, juicy. I think with these two dishes went ridiculously well with white rice.The Pièce De Résistance was the fried Garoupa. The fish itself is white and meaty, and really takes on flavours well. We got a tail piece, and the main bone was already removed for us. This came with veggies on the side, and most remarkably, the skin was still crunchy and crispy, despite being slathered with sauce. Very very very good.The prices here are actually very reasonable because the dishes are very large, so it's perfect for sharing. The meal ended with complimentary dessert, which changes from evening to evening. We had the cashew paste, which was fantastic! Smooth and authentic!!!"

"I have been getting take out from Gourmet Vegetarian for years. The food is consistent, freshly prepared, reasonably priced and good size portions. They have a large menu with numerous choices if you are adventurous. My favourite dishes are the spring rolls (excellent filling), L16 spicy veggie noodle Sichuan style soup, F24 Vermicelli in Singapore style and C80 Spicy Szechwan tofu. Note the restaurant accepts cash only. There is a CIBC bank in the plaza."
