"What a dump. I went here this week to get dinner with my family before we had another function in Whitby to attend. Looks like it needs a Bar Rescue tv crew to ambush this place. It is in dire need of an update. Waitress was kind and efficient. Too bad she is stuck at this dump. We ordered appetizers; spinach dip, fries and wings. TERRIBLE. Spinach dip was lukewarm and seemed as it was microwaved. Pitas were burnt. Wings (which i did not eat) looked gross. Will not go back. Service was quick because no one was in there."

"Came here on a Saturday for a lunch with a friend and we pretty much had the run of the place. It did get a bit busier while we were there. We started with the pretzel bites with the beer cheese dipping sauce. This worked out well because one of the Saturday specials was 30% off appetizers. The pretzels were perfect to share and the cheese came out piping hot. I could see the steam. The cheese had a nice flavor to it and the pretzel bites were perfectly salted. Another special that day was the Rib and wing combo, so we got that along with the Mediterranean Burger. Our server that day was Julie and we appreciated her honesty. The food was delayed because they made a mistake with my friends burger order. No big deal as we weren't in a rush and we would rather they fix it, than bring out the wrong order. Once the burger did arrive it was juicy and flavorful. The ribs and wings is a mixed review. The wings were perfect and the good sized wings, Not those small itty bitty wings. The rib sauce was just okay. I couldn't put my finger on the spice, but it was a bit off putting. They have an extensive menu and we will be back."

"Will never return to this restaurantI ordered jambalaya the rice was undercooked and tasted like day old rice that was warmed in the microwave. The portions are very small and tasted nothing like jambalaya more like shrimp and sausage in ragu sauce. Very disappointed will never return"

"When I have a craving for shrimp tempura or sweet potato tempura, this is the place I go! So good. They have lots of different kinds of maki and sashimi. Small place. Easy to miss. Worth trying if you like Japanese."

"Got seated on the mostly-empty patio this evening and waited patiently for someone to come and take an order. About 4 different servers passed by, roughly 2-3 times each) to clear tables as the patio emptied further. 20 minutes go by and still no approach by any servers. We decided to leave.I hate giving low ratings, but to have that many servers not even make eye contact is a bit much. Sorry."

"Meat 3 in its finest. Super helpful and polite staff. The food was extraordinary. I had the country fried steak and my wife had the pork shoulder. The Brussel sprouts l, when in the season, are a must. The pages were all great and let us come back to try all the others! My wife went back with her friends the next weekend and they were equally impressed."

"We live close to the Royal Oak and usually go there for Wing Night. I have eaten there with friends and hubby quite a few times and were looking forward to their version of a New Year's Eve celebration. We requested a particular table and made reservations beforehand. We arrived for dinner at 7 pm and found that our reserved table was given to a large group and were told there was a booth available which we took. We had the dinner which was included in our $40 ticket price along with a glass of wine. The dinner was very tasty. As the evening wore on, the live music set up which consisted of a one man electric organ player. The place was 1/4 full and the group that sat at our reserved table left early. The singer was great but the songs he played reminded us of being in a piano bar. Not one person danced to any of the music. During his intermission, the manager put on music from other celebrations, New York, New Orleans, etc which livened up the place a little. The place never got busy at all...we were bored. no atmosphere to bring in the New Year joyfully. Guess we expected too much to have a celebration. How can you dance to the theme song 'Welcome Back' (from the tv series Welcome Back Kotter) LOL. We will still go there as it's local but not for another New Year's Eve party.The staff is always friendly."
