"I was there on a very windy afternoon and found the indoor bar quite cozy. It seemed to be a family-run place and was both efficient and friendly. They cheerfully went above and beyond by mailing a special water bottle that I accidentally left there. I live in the US and had already left Burntisland, so returning to get it was not an option for me. That simple act of kindness speaks volumes about the character of the place and its people. The drinks were also quite good ."

"Nice and central, you'll find this cafe next the the St Andrews Cathederal, so handy if you're doing a spot of sightseeing and want somewhere to have a bite to eat. Opens early so you can even start your day there with a yummy bacon roll and coffee and they do a discount for the early bird. It is a bit noisy if you're trying to have a chat as it gets very busy at lunchtime but well worth it for the best carrot cake you'll ever eat! coffee excellent and an amazing range of alternative teas from the teapig range, including chocolate' tea. Plenty of room, nice seating and great when you can get a seat by the window and watch the world go by! busy in term time and used by staff and students at the University. They do have a good carry out service too. very friendly staff."

"Superb little cafe. Food excellent and staff very friendly. Great service. If you visit Pittenweem its a must...for breakfast...brunch...lunch or just a coffee and a cake. Dont want to sit in...they do take away. The best in the East Neuk."

"Very good and fast service. excellent food, good value for money. it was a shame that we could not stay for tee and cake because our son sleepy to get, but we enjoyed our takeout cake a nice real gooey brownie as they should be!"

"I found this quite by accident as there was scaffolding hiding the facade, and initially I went in for a cup of tea. I discovered they did cakes and home made soup and special meals of the day. My 2nd visit gave me a roast pork dinner for £4. It was hot and had all the trimmings. Not an 'a-la-carte ' service but good old home cooking, couldn 't fault it for the price. I visited 4 times in a week as the value for money was so good, as were the lovely ladies working there. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a nice lunch out."

"Ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Pancakes were just 2 reheated scotch pancakes with a couple slices of fatty back bacon flopped on top and then doused in maple syrup. For £3.50 I guess this was to be expected. Wasn't terrible but left a lot to be desired. We also got a millionaire slice that wasn't bad, but for the portion size and bake quality, I'd say £2.50 for it was pretty steep. My friend really enjoyed his bacon and egg roll however and the staff were very nice and quick to serve us."
