"I tried the tartufo (dark chocolate flavor) following a recommendation from a local friend and having high expectations in a town that has other excellent options for gelato. Unfortunately, I was disappointed: I found the tartufo heavy, more akin to icecream than gelato, with a fairly flat flavor, lacking the complex and diverse array of tasting sensations that top quality chocolate should evoke."
