"My wife and I used to frequent here extremely regularly a decade ago. Was our favorite. We moved too far to pick up so we stopped going.Getting it for the first time today, we were excited. Unfortunately, we were let down.My chicken was the driest chicken I've ever had. It's was stringy and tasted old. I cut a piece open and there wasn't any chicken to be found??? So gross. I threw it away. The General Tso sauce was actually really good so that made the dish even more disappointing since it was not edible.My wife's boneless chicken had little to no taste. Not like she remembered. Fried rice was very mediocre.Maybe I got a bad batch? I don't know but it definitely ranked very high on the worst take out food I've ever had."

"Really enjoyed dim sum here. It has all the standard selections you would expect and everything was delicious. Service was super prompt and they never let your tea pot go lower than halfway. Recommend going here early when they open to avoid crowds."

"The food is always fresh, and the staff is friendly. Easy online ordering and they will even do curbside upon request (which helps tremendously when the car is full of kids). The buffet is very clean and the food taste great!"

"A safe bet for a good dinner. Hunan Garden is one of those restaurants we get takeout from occasionally, where we know what the expect and we always get good food. Their mongolian beef is some of the best I've had in Birmingham. Their shrimp fried rice is tasty with big plump shrimp, not those tiny canned shrimp you get at other restaurants. The Hot and Sour soup isn't the best in Birmingham but it's not BAD either. I think the egg rolls are Jade Mountain frozen ones like I can buy at Sysco because they aren't anything special. They aren't bad, but they look machine made... not fat, too perfectly shaped.. I've had better egg rolls. Still I recommend Hunan to anyone wanting some traditional Chinese food in the Hoover area."

"The food was full of flavor, great portions, quick as can be even though it was cooked to order and the staff are extremely friendly! I LOVE THIS PLACE! You won't find a better Chinese Restaurant in the area. They also deliver so make sure to keep that in mind next time you don't know what to make for dinner. I know I will!"
