"I have been to this location a few times, so my review is to reflect that rather than my most recent experience or rather lack of experience. As I have worked food service before, when I realized it was just over half an hour before this location would close, I wanted to head inside and ask if the kitchen was still open or starting their closing tasks. If not, I would have liked to place an order to go. I instead spent the next 15 minutes standing in front of the host stand, being ignored by the staff to the point that I left. I am not the kind of person to order food 15 minutes before closing as I feel it is unfair on the cooks at restaurants. I normally have a very good experience here and the food is amazing. However, even if the kitchen was already closing or closed, to show some modicum of respect, someone could have approached to inform me the kitchen was closed (should it be true or not)."

"Went there last night with a friend to celebrate her new job. We both had the 16 oz. ribeyes, which were excellent. She had the stuffed mushrooms and I had the sweet potato casserole and lyonnaise potatoes. My friend loved her mushrooms and the sweet potato casserole was to die for! In the past, I had always ordered the lyonnaise potatoes the potatoes were sliced and fried with onions. The used to be awesome. I say “used to be” because now they’re made with fingerling potatoes instead of sliced potatoes. Word of advice: If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it! Those fingerling potatoes looked so sad and were so dry, I will never order them again. What a disappointment. After the meal, since we were celebrating my friend’s new job, I figured they’d take our dessert orders and then bring her dessert on a plate with “congratulations” written in chocolate on the plate. Nope. Instead they brought out a plate with “congratulations” written in chocolate and on the plate was a small bowl of vanilla ice cream and a pathetic little round pumpkin cheesecake. My friend doesn’t like pumpkin so she asked if I wanted it since I like pumpkin and how can you go wrong with pumpkin cheesecake, right? Wrong. It was the worst pumpkin cheesecake ever. I couldn’t even eat it and I’ll eat just about anything sweet. THEN the waiter came with the dessert menus. What? As I said before, take her dessert order first and let her order whatever dessert she likes and then bring it out with “congratulations” on the plate. As for me, I got the creme brulee and it was awesome. All in all, we had a great time and most of the food was what I have come to expect from Ruth’s Chris. But please bring back the “old” lyonnaise potatoes. Oh, yeah, and please throw away all those mini pumpkin cheesecakes. The Ruth’s Chris I’ve come to know and love is better than that. Thanks for listening."

"Visited the Cedar Springs location for the first time for Christmas dinner. Everything was perfect! We were seated immediately with our 3:15pm reservation. All of the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was impeccable! I couldn’t ask for anything more. We have found a new Christmad day tradition!"
