"I've been lucky enough to travel to Montreal a few times for business and pleasure. When I hit my favorite shopping spots I usually need to have a bite to eat to fuel my shopping. I'm always looking for a food stop that serves fresh food with lots of color and taste. At Chez Fourna you can't go wrong.The staff are very friendly and are fluent in both French and English. The menu board shows both pictures and descriptions (in French) of their choices which include pizza cooked in a woodfired oven right before your eyes. The combos includes a choice of two salads (Tabbouleh, mixed veggie salad, coleslaw and a fourth). Where can you go for a combo meal including fresh made pizza, two kinds of salad and a drink for $10? At Chez Fourna!I will continue to fuel up there during my visits to Montreal. Don't be discouraged by the food court location. The food is very good."

"It's not often that you feel welcome in a fast food restaurant. Generally it's order and get out of the way. There in this Villa Madina restaurant, the server takes the time to explain what's in the dishes and what combination is better.Shawarma and Shish-Taouk are the stars each on their tall skewers turning into the heat of the grill. Juices drip slowly on the lower portion of the cone of meat and when ready they get trimmed onto a plate.The accompaniments are the usual rice, potatoes or couscous, along with salads like fattoush and tabouleh.Portions are generous and include a nice warm pita bread to dip into the hummus and garlic mayo provided.In this restaurant, if you don't like Middle Eastern food, you can go to the next counter and select Thai soups and noodles. But that'll be for another day for us."

"We went there for two plates of shish taouk around Sunday 2-3 pm. First of all the potatoes were stale. I saw that they gave us the last of the potatoes, but please tell us they might be stale if they have been there for a while so I could take something actually eatable. The the meat was too fatty for a shish taouk chicken, laterally has HUGE chunks of fat. They also got my salad wrong. The proportions are mediocre at best, so if you are used to amir style portions you would be disjointedness. The only thing I liked was the garlic sauce, it was actually pretty good.To resume my review: 1 out of 5 at best. Would I recommend this place? Go at your own risk.Am I going to go there again? Not a chance!"

"Managed to slip in here just before the lunchtime rush hour. Many customers in and out which means fairly high food turnover...always good! Beware with dining outside, food can get cold really fast."

"Good lebanese fast food joint. The restaurant shares a common space with a Subway restaurant. Fresh and savory food. Salads are delicious. Tabouleh was not soggy and had some diced lemons giving it a unique flavor with the lemon peel. Shish taouk marinade also had interesting spices, perhaps a little nutmeg? Wasn't sure but tasted great! Excellent polite service."
