"The Mexican pizzeria took a toll, but the Taco team made sure to offer us some free things for the waiting period. Although I didn't take anything extra, the offer meant a lot. Good work"

"8-2019 Disclaimer: our waiter was new and they were short handed in the kitchen. I think on another visit the stars would be higher. They were super friendly. We went to this restaurant after two separate people suggested it while we were filling up at a nearby gas station. One said the smothered burrito was his favorite. That is why we expected a Mexican restaurant but it is more of a cafe or home cooking place. The locals were loving all of it. We are from For Worth Tx and the dishes were just not what we were expecting. When they say red chili sauce they mean it. It was red chili. On the other hand the green chili sauce was not green or spicy. Also surprising was the fact the chips and salsa were fresh. The cook cut up and fry them, right then! Fresh! The Sopaillas are also made fresh."

"Yesterday's Sunday brunch was wonderful. The steak and eggs were great, served withpotatoes and whole grain bread. The coffee was excellent.Service was attentive and friendly. The tables in the garden made a great place forconversation amid greenery."

"This location has rude and smart- staff. I was trying to shift thru my change That was in my cupholder and the drive thru lady said she “liked playing that game too where I take my time to look for change”. They need to worry more about getting the orders right than how rude they can be to the customer. It’s not the customer’s fault this is the only type of job she can have or aspires to have."

"After reading several positive reviews, we had a group of four for dinner. When we arrived, we were seated and served promptly. We ordered Cadillac margaritas, with specific ingredients, and were told that 's one of the Specials we make. When we watched the server make the cocktails, he did not make them as requested. When we tried to address this, he became politely defensive and told us they were what we had ordered. From there, things went downhill. The server was quite brusque and not very helpful addressing some questions about the menu. He stated the tamales and tacos would be the best you ever had. Sadly, the food was average Americanized Mexican cuisine and a few items (the frijoles) tasted like they were out of a can. When we ordered a sopapia for dessert, we asked that it be served with vanilla ice cream. The server suggested their fried ice cream and we said no, not fried. Dessert arrived with fried ice cream and our response when we noted this was you ordered fried ice cream. While this may be an outlier, as many local reviews are positive, we’ll definitely look for some other dining venue when we are in the KC area again"
