"Really....as a flauta lover since my first Mexican restaurant in Texas many many many years ago, I have never had another one this yummy! Chicken is perfectly seasoned and not at all dried out, the tortillia light and airy, even when fried. Topped with sliced avocados, cotija and sour cream, with an adjacent iceberg salad with fresh tomatoes.The lettuce was a bit old and too yucky looking for me to eat. The two salsas (one green and crisp, one orange and spciy) went perfectly with each bite. The agua frescas sure were yummy, both the melon and coconut/pecan maybe a bit too sweet to even finish a whole small one but certainly a nice treat. Don't think I'll order a flauta anywhere else again."

"We were leaving Santa Barbara after a busy day at the zoo and I was determined to grab some Mexican before we skipped town. Driving down the street, we saw a few closed storefronts before stumbling on pipeye unassumingly.The wait was reasonable and so were the prices. As of august 2023, you can get 4 tacos for $10. They come on homemade tortilla. Salsas are self serve and so is the onion and greens tacos just come w the meats. Their pipeto limon agua Fresca was delicious and I enjoyed the food as well. You know the place passed the test if the beans and rice are delicious and/or if the salsas are bomb. This passed on both fronts. Definitely planning to return next time we are in dt."
