"Ali's life history and his engaging openness made me come back for six of the seven days I was in La Playita. Sometimes I would eat, but if I had been out elsewhere all day, I would just have a beer and visit with him. He has friends from all over the world, even one near my home town in British Columbia. I called her when I got back home and she was thrilled to hear about Ali. One day he will sell out, as he is in his late sixties now. So I will return before he leaves. He has a sweet dog that he has raised since it was dropped off as a puppy with her eyes not even opened yet. Just the measure of the man."

"I visited this place because of the reviews but I must say that it was not very good. The flies appeared to be especially abundant in this place and eating a torta was quite a challenge while trying to shoo away a cloud of flies. The selection was poor and the meat was overly spiced not HOT spicy but with other types of spices. Rather than tasting the flavors of the meat, the prominent flavors were a mix of herbs and spices that were too difficult to distinguish what you were eating, could have been dog! Anyway, if you can avoid it do so there are far too many great restaurants in San Luis to go to this one!"

"Los tacos están muy bien servidos lo que compensa que el precio este un poquito más elevado que un puesto en la calle o taquerias más pequeñas. La calidad es indiscutible. Las aguas muy dulces a mi gusto pero ahí si cada quien. Servicio regular. Recomendado para esas noches que no tienes idea que cenar. No la llamaría la mejor taquería de San Luis peso venir aquí siempre te deja satisfecho y feliz."

"Se trata de un puesto callejero, que cuenta con algunos bancos para poder sentarse en la barra, únicamente venden tacos de tortilla de maíz de:Pastor (Cocido en la plancha no en el trompo) Muy ricos, pero sin el tradicional sabor de un buen pastor de trompo, así mismo tampoco ofrecen piña :(BistecBarbacoaChorizoSuaderoMachitosEn general todos muy ricos, les recomiendo el suadero, pastor y bistec con chorizo, como extras ofrecen salsa roja, verde, rábanos, limones, chiles toreados (Muy buenos) y en ocasiones cebollitas cocidas. Ojo a los que no comen salsa que en estos tacos si piden "Con todo" también les ponen salsa roja.Resumen:Lo bueno: Los tacos de Pastor y Suadero.Por mejorar: Piña para los tacos de pastor por favor!.Puntos: ****Costo aproximado: $6.00 por taco y $10.00 el refresco (No recuerdo el precio exacto de cada uno pero por $70 pesos comen 2).Excelente lugar para llevar a una visita a probar verdaderos tacos callejeros, super higiénicos y ricos."

"The attention and the food was ok but tortilla espanola somehow salty but not big deal. Parking guy did not show any intention to give exchange back after paying with a high denomination bill and when asked about that, in rude manner replied he needed to retain an amount as a forceful tip and repeatedly asked "how much will I hold as a tip". Really disappointing his lack of respect for customers."
