"We popped in to this bar for a few beers and had such a great evening. Nice selection of beer and all the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. The street food menu is amazing too. Really recommended for some casual craft beer with some great food."

"I would probably score 3 stars had it not been for the price range, because the food was average/edible, but the price makes you assume a certain type of quality. We had super high expectations having studied their website and reviews, and it honestly felt like we went to another pub! They were really short on staff, which might be a consequence of Pride, and although friendly service was a bit disattentive and long. They had run out of chicken by 2.30PM, so we settled on beef and pork. The roast altogether looked and felt a bit tired nothing like the images on their website the pork tasted ok, but the fat ratio was really a bit off, the carrot and veg underseasoned and underwhelming, the beef was nice and so were the potatoes. But worth the price? Absolutely not. We ordered a dessert (the elderflower and berries cheesecake) and it was also a miss, not sure there was any elderflowe (syrup as its not in season) in there at all! Sadly will not be returning."

"I used to love coming to this pub but these days it is trying far too hard. We met here with friends for lunch. The first thing that we noticed was that the top of the pub near the kitchen was freezing cold. Not sure why but we all had to wear our coats whilst we were there. Then there is the “fusion” food. So clearly trying to be original but the food didn’t deliver. Not one decent meal between 8 of us. The worst being the tacos and nachos with braised ox cheek. The ox cheek was weird. Cut like ham, sweet somehow and just strange and horrible. Rest of the food just lacked quality; the bao buns chewy and dry, burgers over cooked. This pub needs to get back to basics which made it such a lovely place a few years ago"

"The garden is especially a jewel in summer. service is ok and eating is delicious. we had burgers and had a vegetarian with us who enjoyed their meal. it is more of a restaurant than bar, but they can only have drinks. we were more than once when we liked the place."
