"We had a nice time in this restaurant. All our dishes were very good for appetizers we had the scallops with avocado, the deep fried beans and the pasteis de bacalao. The waiting staff were charming, friendly and able to make jokes. When we hesitated about wine, the wine cellar brought us three flavor glasses to try. The staff involved in the food order were also extremely friendly and helpful and pampered my obsession with the truffle butter (so good!). And all this in perfect English. The only slight disadvantage was at the end of the meal when it took some time to pay our bill. But I wouldn't take a star. The bill includes a service fee that the waitress was careful in us to show, we were happy to add a bit more for a beautiful experience."

"We 've been to this restaurant a few times. Last year the food was really good but expensive and the place didn 't really attract many visitors from outside of the condo so mustn 't have been able to stay afloat. This year it has reopened and returned to a simpler menu with more fast food options. In the three times we have visited the following has happened. 1st visit, chef wasn 't there so only burgers and pizza plus basic starters available. This was ok but initially one burger didn 't turn up. French fries must have been cooked first as these were cold. The tuna tacos were nice but they hadn 't cooked the taco shells so they were a bit chewy. We did get our full order in the end. Second visit we had club sandwich and some fresh guacamole. This was delicious, it came with some tortilla chips and some mini roasts. Club sandwich was nice but fries were cold again. There were two members of staff and all went smoothly apart from the cold fries but we were happy. Third visit was disastrous enough that we probably won 't order food there again. One lady on her own. We were told there were no pizzas so we ordered 3 burgers, a ham and cheese toastie and the guacamole. Only two of the burgers arrived. I let this go as I thought maybe the lady had not understood me. I 'm learning portuguese but it 's not that great yet. So my husband and I let the kids have the burgers and we just planned to share the guacamole and get something at home later. The guacamole was totally different to the previous time, runny and unpleasant in texture, and it came with less than a small packets worth of doritos! For €7.50 a bit of a rip off. I tried to ask for that toasts we had last time but couldn 't make myself understood so was brought two uncooked taco shells! At this stage I gave up. I could see the lady was out of her depth and there was another family to serve by this point. When the bill arrived we had been charged for the missing burger and it took a lot of pointing before she agreed we didn 't actually receive it! On a plus note the kids devoured their food. I do hope this restaurant picks up. But at the moment they don 't seem to have the staff to make it work. Presumably because it doesn 't make enough money to employ them. I don 't think the excellent reviews are likely to last sadly."
