"We decided to stop here for lunch and regretted it. Ordered two types of tacos, which were really bland. Actually the tacos were mostly filled with rice and just a tiny bit of meat on top. The chef and the owner should be ashamed. This is definitely not Mexican food."

"We stopped for a snack and a drink here, up on the second level overlooking the road, and the waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were drawn in by the menu board outside offering Cochinita Pibil, pork marinated in lime, bitter orange and achiote which is a typical Mayan dish, and it was delicious- the waiter assured us it was a good choice as it was cooked over a genuine wood fire- and it was delicious, served with tortillas and avocado and rice too! To drink, we had a fresh coconut each for $25 pesos. A wonderful snack and very filling!"

"We did not stay at the hotel but I read that this was a good place to eat from a map on mapchick.com. They do not speak English but have English on the menu. Carne asada tacos were perfect. The lunch we had was fantastic."

"If you want to eat where the food is fresh and you are not dealing with the hoards of tour bus people - go here!! We were looking for a place to eat following our visit to the Coba Ruins and ended up at the furthest restaurant along the north side of the parking lot (Just keep walking past the little shops and at least 1 other restaurant). We are a family of 5 - with 3 boys under the age of 9. The chicken tacos (eaten by two of my boys) - were delicious, the quesadilla (my youngest's pick) - so cheesy and good. I had the grilled fish and my husband had the Yucatec chicken - both were fantastic (the fish was probably the best I've had in a long time). All of it was freshly cooked and simply tasted amazing. You could also get fresh coconuts there, although we didn't partake. The prices were very reasonable - all meals were less than 100 pesos (except the fish - I think it was 120)This restaurant is a little hidden by all the tour buses that park in front of the shops at this end of the parking lot - so was not busy and quite hidden - but it was perfect for us. Worth the effort to walk 20 more steps past the busier restaurant!!"

"There are some vegan dishes on the menu. We had the vegan tacos and the vegan panuchos. Both of them were extremely good and of the best we had on our journey. It's super cheap and authentic. Also the restaurants in the area of coba don't benefit so much from the tourism like the ones in the Tulum area. So make sure to support this awesome place when you get to coba! Super friendly service."
