"I had such a good experience with this restaurant! The wait staff was nice, food was excellent, portions were big! My family all ordered different things, so I got to sample a little of everything with the tacos. I ordered fish tacos, which were amazing. An entire filet of fish comes in every taco! The shrimp taco was also great! My other family loved the carnitas and steak tacos as well. My brother said the chorizo tacos were the best tacos he’s ever had in his life. To top it all off, at the end of the meal they bring out a free dessert! Cinnamon sugar fresh baked doughnuts. I love this place and there’s a reason it’s #1 restaurant in Isla Mujeres."

"Cansados de viajar con la pulserita como borregos que van al matadero haciendo colas para todo y fotografiando todo lo que los mejicanos han preparado para que los turistas se sorprendan, decidimos apartarnos "de donde va Vicente" y alquilar un coche.Preguntamos a los mejicanos sobre una playa que no tuviera turistas y que fuera bonita. Tras varios intentos y algún peso que otro, nos dieron el nombre de la playa a la que van los mejicanos. BACALAR.Bien, describir Bacalar será otro día, ahora toca el restaurante:Tras un buen rato de coche, llegamos a un pueblo (Felipe Puerto Carrillo) y decido buscar un bar o restaurante donde comer con mi familia.Me desvié de la calle principal y encontré este "chiringuito". Las calles son de verdad, no como las de Playa del Carmen y la gente también. Tienes la impresión de que todos te miran y hay la sensación en el aire de que te están mirando como si te hubieras perdido.... Parece que te miren y digan, "¿qué hacen estos aquí?".Aparcamos el coche en frente del chiringuito y nos atiende la dueña. Es realmente encantadora y podemos disfrutar de una comida excelente a base de tortitas, burritos y demás, pero de los de verdad. De los que se comen los que viven allí y no los guiris como nosotros.Las diferencias son claras. Infinita mayor calidad. Todas las salsas son caseras (si os dicen que una pica, cuidado porque van en serio), las cantidades son más que interesantes y el precio es infinitamente menor que en la zona guiri.Si en playa del carmen un plato te cuesta unos 160 pesos (unos 7€), en este local un plato cuesta 12 pesos (0,58€)He valorado como "Excelente" el restaurante pero no porque lo sea, sino por la sensación de aventura, y el chute de REALIDAD que te pega en la cara cuando entras.No hay cerveza pero la propietaria te dice, "no se preocupe, ahorita mando al chico a comprar" y te la traen del super bien fresquita.Amigos, no os lo perdáis. Después de comer podéis pasear por el pueblo y asombraros de la triste realidad viendo cómo realmente viven, ver el mercado y comprar fruta de verdad en la frutería del pueblo.Son muy amables y no tiene porqué pasar nada, pero dejaros las joyas en casa antes de ir a estos lugares. Saben que hay diferencias sociales que entienden y aceptan, pero no hay porqué "lucir palmito" ni recordarles que tienen menos posibilidades en la vida que nosotros. A alguno puede sentarle mal.Mi consejo:Id, visitad, aprender e intentar confundiros con ellos. Os aceptarán y veréis el mundo tal y como es y no como nos lo quieren mostrar las agencias de viajes."
